Her breath caught in her chest for a moment. The audacity that she had to say such a thing to her. Especially after what she did. Her body remained still, shocked by just the amount of pain that such few words caused her all this time later.
“... You twisted bitch.” Her words were harsh as the blizzard and cold as true ice. Her fists clenched hard, knuckles turning even whiter than her pale skin was. Her breath was hot against the otherwise frigid air around them, blue eyes burning with rage of a fire freshly stoked deep inside her.
“Is that how you remember it? Is that how you allow yourself to sleep at night? By believing you were in the right for all these years? You, who turned her back on me and my clan? You who would rather see me struggle and abused than stand with me and make a name for ourselves? I see now why you believe in what you do.
