Updates Double 39-49: and the eternal movie

Eternal Movie is Fine. though once my boy Eiji shows up it gets awesome. (suffers from a bad filter AND clearly being written as happening earlier)

Double final thoughts:

Double is. Okay. i like it but like. it’s not gonna be a fav, it’s final arc is. pretty good. and there’s a lot of good stuff here. and the post movie endgame is strong-though our final boss basically being an incel isn’t great. i also just. didn’t get that into the Sonozaki’s. esp Saeko. like fuck her. (Wakana however is fine) Ryubee’s final motivation reveal Was good though.

i also never got that into Shotaro as a character for much of Double since. we rarely got his lore, or real experiences with the chief, his youth, or even that year where it was Just him and Phillip. 

i just think he works better in smaller doses. at the very least i always enjoy when Double shows up in crossovers. and i’ve read good fanfic for double, i am however very glad to have finally gotten through it, and have watched it.

TLDR: Double is a good beginner rider season. but it’s just not my fav.

Also Phillip coming back is allowed, Sho was fucking MISERABLE that entire year.

Den o: 11-14 decent stuff. THOUGH BOY DAD FROM 11-12 YOU SURE PICKED A BAD WAY TO EXPRESS TO YOUR KID SHE SHOULD FOLLOW HER DREAMS. But the ending and the fact that she didn’t have to give them up helped, Kin continues to be my fav of the Taros (sorry momo) (also mr yonemura do you have dad issues? This, Showa Vs heisei, and kabuto make me wonder)

Ryuutaros’s debut i actually saw part of earlier this year. Much better in context and gaim wishes it had what Den o has for the dancing.

Someone gave a baby a gun, a love of dancing, and a non expiring train pass and boy i can’t wait to see what shenanigans happen.

(And The stuff with Airi and Sakurai is just ;A;)

Double: 9-10, 11-12 *clears throat* LET AKIKO KNOW ABOUT HER DAD, Akiko and Wakana should hang out more, also Double just straight up dips into horror and also being Diamond is Unbreakable, which as a fan of that part of JJBA hell yeah more DIU.

Blade: 15-16 decent eps, Peacock Undead is Finally fucking dead ,things are picking up, Leangle really is just 500 spiders in a trench coat. Kenzaki slept with Two rider belts.

Kamen Rider 1971 episodes 3-5: -no i am not doing all of Ichigo and Nigo’s run. 98 episodes is a LOT.

These however are really good episodes. And i am filled with love for buff grandpa Takeshi Hongo. (A Love that the goddamn narrator doesn’t share jfc way to kick me in the gut after how cute the ending of ep 4 was)

Also Wow i forgot how explicitly clear they made it that Shocker were facists “Nazi Germany” you can’t get any clearer than that.

And man do i love seeing Hongo just beat the shit out of some shocker mooks And Rider Kick Mantis Man in ep 5.

Kamen Rider Kuuga: 5-10: wow this is great, and its def more fun to watch this with a friend.

Kamen Rider Kuuga: 11-12: Amazing, incredible, Kanzaki sensei ;-;

Den 0: 23-24: PEAK SHENANIGANS. And somehow Ryoutaro getting arrested happened much later than expected.

Double 21-22: Terui continues being great and double giving me more cop drama stuff is much appreciated.

-the real world may suck but toku cops aren’t completely terrible.

Den-o movie: *GLARES AT A CERTAIN TOKUTUBER* motherfucker this movie is good. -also Gaoh’s a real neat movie antagonist. though maybe i’m easy to please.

Den-O 21-22: Deneb is still the most valid imajin, and i’m so glad Den-o allowed me to write the sentance: AND THEN HE WAS ATTACKED BY A ROVING GANG OF BREAK DANCERS. Ryoutaro is still a very good dude.

Double 19-20: Hello Terui. -..Boy i understand even More why my friends told me i had to watch this season now. this is..concept wise a lot like my rider protag oc. (grief over family member being murdered, super heavy weapon.). i really like him so far. good foil to Shotaro. the mood in these eps were real good. digging this a lot, keep it up Double.

(catchup with friend show: Kuuga 2-4. still real good though now i know what the fuck the grongi are saying. kuuga’s still real good.)

Den-0 19-20: Hi Yuuto!, also DENEB! the other Most valid Imajin, and lbr here Yuuto’s dad. and both of them are another point in favour of my “the secondary rider needs Someone fun to bounce off of” cause Solo Yuuto is a lot. (though Date was technically the fun person to bounce off of for Gotou over in OOO. since lets be real, while he was never a rider, the real secondary was Ankh).

Ryoutaro talking about how Sakurai and how he,Airi and Ryoutaro were a family just. god. this entire plot-line breaks my fucking heart

and the guy looking for the time capsule from his deceased wife got to me too. just god.

Kobayashi is such a good writer.

Double 17-18

another good couple of eps.

and continues the theme of being Diamond is unabreakble 2.

the stuff with the kids and the bird memory. the reveal of where the Sonozaki’s got the gaia memory stuff from.

poor, poor Kirihiko.

like goddamn, he really did love this town. (And he deserved none of how he went out).

if only he got to have a face turn :(

 mr Hasegawa can you keep writing eps. cause so far i’m liking yours more than Sanjo’s. (though 15-16 are good) i feel i should have probably gotten to Double earlier than i did. cause i like it, and it’s doing good. i just so far. like other seasons more. like so far i’m def gonna recc this as a good entry point. (And it Was for a Lot of people.) and to be fair, i’m watching fucking Den-O simultaneously with it which doesn’t help.

Den-O 17-18: well this got way too real. -as someone who had to move the summer before her final year of high school. man i feel where Sawada was coming from. and then came the stuff about Airi’s finace. and just. man Kobayashi fucking Understands emotion, and writing this stuff. and just. ungh it’s good. glad Momo got to have an actual fight again. and Kin’s little moment with Ryoutaro asking him to pick a wish was nice too. also confirmation that Ryoutaro had to quit high school. is just.. man...

going into den o proper i really didn’t expect to enjoy Ryoutaro as much as i do, nor his sister Airi. (also okay kobayashi i understand why she has so many admirers in-universe, i too love this woman)

Double 15-16. oh hey the show picked up. Fang’s In-Show debut was really really cool, and it’s nice to see Phillip get more time in the sun that isn’t tied to Wakana and him having a connection. 

and Shotaro going into the library to save Phillip was really really nice.

though come on every single person in this town, that Dopant looks nearly Nothing like Double.

and the fat joke in the ending of ep 16 was terrible.

Den O 15-16: much better in context (Do not work for the company boss from the ep, jfc dude get therapy for your alchohalism)

Double 13-14: Wakana’s fun, and it’s nice seeing food places from early eps.

Kamen Rider (1971): 6-7, the first two parter in this franchise’s history.  Hongo Clowning on Nazi’s,and as a jewish woman, fuck yeah fuck them up Hongo. (also hot damn the fights in ep 7, swords, fighting on roller coaster tracks, and then dual wielding swords against Chameleon-man, and than that final fight with that rider punch with the shattered glass, a good time.)

Movie War 2010:

I’ve seen this 3 times. one with solely the context of decade but the theatrical cut, a second time with someone also finishing decade, and now with the context of both shows.

..Begins night’s main plot still doesn’t work for me. the flashback was real good. but..SOME OF THIS REALLY SHOULD HAVE BEEN IN THE REGULAR SHOW. (LIKE AKIKO FINDING OUT HER DAD IS DEAD MAYHAPS)

and the director’s cut is wrong, the decade stuff was meant to the go at the beginning and it should goddamn stay there. and future movie wars (like Megamax!) agree with me.

Decade’s..is somewhat rough due to the troubled production, however: i feel the emotions work for me, and while it’s a goddamn shame i Have to say this. it’s also the Best showing Tackle has at present with where i am at with my Stronger watching

it does however need a much clearer indication that months have passed between tv and movie very Very badly.

-also i get not wanting to leave fans on the tv show’s original finale (which oh my is one hell of a finale) but ..please try to actually have the movie begin production first. ..which i think they have since learned after that shit got them in trouble. (esp since in the theatrical cut, NONE OF THE PREVIEW SCENES ARE IN THE FILM)
