Yes it’s been awhile, whoops

So! Due to Netflix Being Netflix and power rangers leaving on feb 1. We’ve had to go swerve for that.

Time Force: it’s real good, one of power rangers best. I think i prefer Jungle Fury overrall But, Time force has a stronger Endgame, and some Really solid acting. Would recc both

Dino Charge 1-12: It’s good, i adore Koda. I’m also fond of tyler. (I’ve also watched his actor’s commentary of ep 1-5. It’s great)

Chou Diend Episode Yellow: This is Not a Den o movie, i mean it is but, Daiki stole this. I love you you absolutely rediculous disaster gay.

This was great, Absolutely rediculous, but great.

Bonus: this entire movie was caused by JUGGLUS JUGGLER. (Takaya Aoyagi plays the cop who caused the entire movie. Yes he’s an extra but still)

Decade: 

Hibiki World: the final of our first nine worlds and one of my favorites because it’s real solid, GIANT CRAB BAND FIGHT.

Nega world: it exists.

Diend world: the better version of missing Ace. Heated Drama between men. and my god.

changeman 1-5: 

Dynaman 1-2: this is met my expectations and then some. and holy shit the fights. also congrats Yumeno-san i absolutely believe in this team’s abilty to fight the and i quote this name EVILUTION EMPIRE. also dreams. -also explosions. so many explosions. the rolecall has 11 alone.

Decade watch Continues

Ryuki World: one of the reasons i watched this show in the first place. it is absolutely fucking rediculous. and i stand by this.

blade world: *checks who wrote it* ah the kabuto tribute in mood, -but nah it’s still kind of like blade. but it’s still pretty fun, i like it. even has a fight that’s just an ep of blade happening in the background of this episode of decade

Faiz world: i unironically enjoy this better than regular faiz. also Hi Ryon!

Agito world: one of my least favorite worlds. it’s better since i can recognize the plot nods. but it’s not interesting on it’s own. and Shouichi Ashikawa is much less charismatic or intersting than all 3 of his namesakes (Barely in Gills case). not that good of a showing for Yusuke either

Den-World: my headcanon is this is just the Main rider world. -it’s just den o. it’s fine. pretty fun. Daiki really Really wants to see a guy become a train.

the den o warship movie: it’s...there. Deneb is very very good. the 5 minutes of Tsukasa are amazing.

Kabuto world: One of my favorite worlds (before and after having seen kabuto -please note i first watched this Before Kabuto proper). it feels like a distillation of kabuto’s emotional/plot beats. -also a nicer world than usual. it’s good shit. even has a lot of possible foreshadowing for later decade reveals and that’s the good shit.

watchthroughs -it’s been a few days so lets go with what i remember. -sorry everyone

Gundam Build Fighters: -yes i watched all of this in a few days with @zyngacat​ I still enjoyed the hell out of this. absolutely makes me want to own some gunpla. alas i have never built any

Gundam seed 1-2: this was certainly made at a very very specific point in human history, probably won’t be continuing. one day gundam, one day -esp since this is the one i watched when i was younger

changeman: still real good even if i forget what i last talked about here. amazing tracking shots.

Abaranger ep 5: 

also for the love of fuck stop teasing rangers who you won’t do. i know Abare lemon is clearly a joke but come on that’s three times what with Suke-san, and Emmy.

Kamen Rider Decade:

Amazon World: i still dislike it.

All Riders Vs Daishocker: a mess of a movie hinting at tantelizing lore that it just won’t give me. i still really like it though.

final arc: i wish this was 3 episodes. but genuinely i like it. and i will say this: Watch the original version of both episodes, neither version makes much sense with the movie but i feel you lose something not getting the original tv “ending”

Movie war 2010: *quietly pushes Begins night away as i have seen this movie multiple times and it’s my least favorite part, it’s fine* the decade stuff is always what i come to this movie for, and i’m always wrecked by it. i still can’t listen to the ending theme without getting a bit choked up. it’s a mess too, but i still love it just the same

Decade:

Shinkenger World: it’s nice, come talk to me about TsukasaXTakeru Shiba, the TsukasaXNatsumi at the end is nice too. also two swords, two of them, and Beta!Another DiEnd.

World of RX and World of Black: good stuff. my personal headcanon for how kamen rider black turns up in later things just being the one from world of black is here. -it’s also very very hinting at movie stuff. -which helps my personal placement of the movie being here.

Operation Overdrive: -i see toei didn’t let power rangers have acess to the footage again, because i don’t think ronnie’s characterization works with her footage at all (i’ve seen ep 1 of Boukenger.). also oh boy a dax episode. -still not huge on Dax, Spencer for MVP.

it’s watch through time again and since plans to do garo fell through. -yet again

we’re doing a rewatch of the other most appropriate rider for october since we just finished Ghost: Tsukasa Kadoya himself: Kamen Rider Decade

this time having Seen nearly all of phase 1 heisei - sorry Hibiki

ep 1: Still good, sets up a lot that they sort of tried to pay off without Aikawa-san being around to write it.

Kuuga world: i see why Kuuga fans were mad now. not a good first world to do but at least Yusuke is a nice if ...not good at being a Rider, boy after this.

Kiva world: yeah this feels like Kiva. still real good.

Updates:

Den O 15-16: much better in context (Do not work for the company boss from the ep, jfc dude get therapy for your alchohalism)

Double 13-14: Wakana’s fun, and it’s nice seeing food places from early eps.

Kamen Rider (1971): 6-7, the first two parter in this franchise’s history.  Hongo Clowning on Nazi’s,and as a jewish woman, fuck yeah fuck them up Hongo. (also hot damn the fights in ep 7, swords, fighting on roller coaster tracks, and then dual wielding swords against Chameleon-man, and than that final fight with that rider punch with the shattered glass, a good time.)

Movie War 2010:

I’ve seen this 3 times. one with solely the context of decade but the theatrical cut, a second time with someone also finishing decade, and now with the context of both shows.

..Begins night’s main plot still doesn’t work for me. the flashback was real good. but..SOME OF THIS REALLY SHOULD HAVE BEEN IN THE REGULAR SHOW. (LIKE AKIKO FINDING OUT HER DAD IS DEAD MAYHAPS)

and the director’s cut is wrong, the decade stuff was meant to the go at the beginning and it should goddamn stay there. and future movie wars (like Megamax!) agree with me.

Decade’s..is somewhat rough due to the troubled production, however: i feel the emotions work for me, and while it’s a goddamn shame i Have to say this. it’s also the Best showing Tackle has at present with where i am at with my Stronger watching

it does however need a much clearer indication that months have passed between tv and movie very Very badly.

-also i get not wanting to leave fans on the tv show’s original finale (which oh my is one hell of a finale) but ..please try to actually have the movie begin production first. ..which i think they have since learned after that shit got them in trouble. (esp since in the theatrical cut, NONE OF THE PREVIEW SCENES ARE IN THE FILM)
