#double width weaving

How do people have a hobby AND make videos about it??? This took me forever and it's as good as it's going to get.

Anyway, I started filming because I wanted my future self to have a reference for double width weaving, but things kept going wrong so. Now it's a journal of sorts. Enjoy?

Double width weave blanket is off the loom! Unfortunately, I made a mistake in the warping phase and didn't realize it until I was halfway done weaving. In the middle, there are two repeats of the green square right next to each other. I know how to fix that if I tried this project again, and I do want to give it another go at some point. Overall, not bad for my first time trying this kind of thing!

So far, so good! It's going a bit slower than normal because I have to crawl under my loom every few picks to check that backside for floats but progress is being made.

Took forever getting this set up properly, but I finally have it down. Weaving a blanket that is going to be double the width once I take it off the loom. I am basically weaving while it is folded in half. You can see the fold side and the open side in the pictures. Magic!
