Double Ace speaks his mind REPRESENT fills you in with a sip of Double Ace’s perspective on different topics
What is your vision for music in Mozambique? Vision, well, many musicians and singers are giving up music due to the lack of income but [in] a perspective of 5 years [I] see the Mozambican music evolved and well selected.
What is the influence and / or difference you think your participation in the music industry in Mozambique have? It has a great influence and has already brought results. I was the first producer here [in] Mozambique to make the style afrohouse (…) [which] had a good reception so that succeeded the music of Dj Elex ft Yolanda - Timbila Oh Sacana so much that after this hit [I] inspired many producers here in Moz[ambique] to do the same style and bring a new dimension when it comes to new styles in Moz[ambique].
Difficulties in your area of work and how do you get over the same [The]only and most difficulty I've ever faced and [still] face today is to not have a studio of my own and well equipped!! I have my work tools at home but not enough to do a quality job that [is possible] only having one studio
Something to say about the BMF group: as [to] the BMF group, the meaning BeatMakersFamily [is] composed of 3 boys and as the name says, we are group of producers, details only another post
Anything else to add? Nothing more to add, just say I do what I like and even take seriously what I do, it is my hobby and work at the same time (…). But anyway as here in Moz[ambique] [one] cannot live off this, [I] have other activities besides this.
