This is from the sketchbook I took with me when I spent a month travelling in Europe in 2013 and this illustration is from the very first day of my trip when I arrived in England, it was all of the different things I was hoping to see when I was in London. I was only there for a few days but managed to see quite a lot - nearly everything I mentioned in my sketchbook, with the exception of Camden Market. That’s definitely on my list of things to do and see for my upcoming trip. This might sound silly, but when I travel, I actually like it when I don’t end up having time to see something that I really wanted to see because it means the anticipation of the next visit is there the second I say goodbye and it gives me something to look forward to seeing or doing in the future.
Double Decker Bus to Jaipur
Traveling from Agra to Jaipur was another adventure all by itself. Some nice surprises awaited us.
We booked a ticket through a local agent for a trip from Agra to Jaipur. He assured us that this was a modern, air conditioned bus. Except for a couple of rainy days in Delhi, the weather has been dry and dusty. Heading off to the desert state of Rajasthan offered much of the same.
