Description: Jules was walking and gets attacked. Winter happens to be walking by and uses her self defense to kick some major ass yo.
Jules: It should've been a few minutes. He should have gotten home and taken his shoes off already, his dog should've been cuddled in his lap. Julian had decided to cut through the park on his way home. It was quicker and his place was just along the other side. He had made the mistake of doing this late at night. He always though his neighborhood was safe, that people were friendly. It seemed taking out his Ipod to read a dumb email wasn't the smart choice. He would've been home right now, if only he weren't backed against a tree by a guy much bigger than him. A five foot eight curly haired kid with a bowtie wasn't very intimidating, and of course when he tried to use reason he was only spat at. He smiled shakily, but inside he was terrified. That smile slowly starting to fade as the man came up close, his phone already out of his grasp as he was told to give up anything he had. "Please... I don't have anything but my phone and my keys..." he said softly ducking his head, But he wasn't convincing. The guys hands were already on him taking anything and everything from his pockets and bookbag.
Winter was walking home from work, another late shift. She was tired, really tried. As she often was after work, although she didn't know why. Work was slow, and getting slower by the day it seemed. Maybe that's what stressed her out so much, the thought of seeing her father's business crash and burn. The biggest dream that he had, the only dream... The only thing he had left. She decided to cut through the park to get home sooner. She had to let her dog out, clean a bit. She was walking quickly, looking around everywhere she turned. That's when she saw something happen. Someone grabbed, and pressed against a tree. "Hey!" She said, a bit shy at first. She didn't even see who it was yet, just that someone was in trouble. "Leave them alone!"
Jules heard the voice in the distance. A small part of him hoped it was a cop, but he was shocked to see Winter. Although happy someone was here he was too worried about her getting hurt as well. He shook his head and forced a small smile at the girl but was quickly shoved back making him wince as his back his the tree. he was never a fighter, and unfortunatley his words weren't getting him out of this situation. He took a small breath allowing his eyes to close as he waited for the punch to come. He knew the guy would probably pummel him, just for some stupid money or his chain or anything else that could be found in his bag. A small whimper escaped his lips as he ducked his head down. "W-Winter... run." he said softly.
Winter looked at what was happening, and froze for a moment. This felt like that night, the night she was attacked. When she was walking home from work, she was attacked. She had an old boss, who tried to do something to her during a shift and he didn't like that she said no to him. So when she was walking home, he attacked her. If Oscar wouldn't of stepped in and happened to be walking by, she would of been rapped that night. She couldn't let something happen to someone else. She was the one stepping in this time, only this time she could actually defend someone else. She could save them. Then when she realized it was Jules, she had to do something. She took a step forward. "Look... He doesn't have anything that you want. Just move along okay? So I don't have to call the cops."
Jules knew Winter was still here even with his eyes closed. If the girl had left he would have heard the steps running through the park, or her calling for help. Instead he heard silence, the only noise being the rustling coming from the man emptying out his bag. Then suddenly the noises changed, a soft voice he knew was Winter and the soft chuckles of the obviously amused mugger. He held his breath but as the chain around his neck was ripped off he couldn't help the yell. "No Please!" He squeaked out. It was the only thing that meant something to him and someone was trying to take it. Looking at Winter he frowned and sighed softly. "F-Fine.. Take it. But we're calling the cops the second you start running." he said quietly fists clenched, of course that wasn't his best move because the man dropped the chain pinning him against the tree once more with only the words of /what if I don't?/.
Winter knew that the man wasn't going to leave on his own and he was going to do what he could until he got what he wanted. The thing was, they didn't have anything that he wanted. Now she was getting mad, it was like looking into the past with her. People like this, thinking they can bully people to get what they want. People like her old boss, people like the girls who did awful things to her all through her school years. She was sick of it. She took a few steps forward, using all strength to push the man off Jules. She was small, but must pack a punch since he stumbled. That made him pretty mad though. He curse, grabbing the small girl by the throat. That's all she need though, a reason to fight back. Her self defense classes were going well, she was learning fast. Now she knew what to do. It was quick, took the man by surprise. Before her could pick her up off the ground, she kicked him in the knee cap. That made him wince and lose track of everything for a moment. She twisted her body, which caused him to let go. A chop to the neck, knee to the stomach, and a push and the man flipped over her body and slammed into the ground. She learned that in her recent class, use the man's weight to your advanged and it worked.
Jules was worried when Winter stepped up. The second he saw the man grab at her throat he was ready to step in. Before he could she was basically killing it. The guy was on the ground, the groans coming from each kick, punch, hit and twist. Julian took a small breath. he never realized how strong the girl was. Even if they had only spoken once or twice the strength was obviously not known. Although small she now had the guy flipped over on the ground and Jules knew he wasn't getting back up. He smiled shakily, still a little messed up from the nerves but he was suddenly very happy to have her around. Kneeling on the floor he picked up the chain and frowned wiping it clean on his shirt as he wrapped it around his neck once more. Looking up he stood and tilted his head. "I'll call the cops.. let's get out of here though."
Winter looked down at the man who was groaning in pain. She learned about which spots would hurt the most, what would keep a person down. Looks like she hit those pressure points successfully. "Please stay down on the ground, I will do it again if you get up." Figure she would use words like please even at a time like this. She nodded to Jules, putting her hand on his shoulder. "Are you okay? He didn't hurt you right?" She mentions forward, "Come on. He will be down for a bit, the cops should get here before he gets back up."
Jules looked up with a shaky smile and shook his head. "I-Im alright. I'll be a little sore from being thrown around but I'm okay... That back there.. That was very brave of you Winter. I don't think I could've done what you did..." he said softly and once they were out of the park and on the main street he hugged her. His arms around her waist as he sighed soflty. "I'm glad you didn't get hurt trying to protect me." he whispered before pulling back. Now that they were safe, he could repay her. He smiled holding his now messy bag and shrugged. "Well, we might as well get dinner. As a thank you of sorts.."
Winter blinked a few times, "Are you sure? I have a mini first aid kit in my bag somewhere... Bandaids? Pain meds? Anything?" Winter smiles, "Ah well... I've had trouble with people before, so I've been taking self defense classes and yeah. I guess I'm glad I knew what to do this time around." When he hugged her, she knew he was really scared by all this. She felt bad, she knew what that was like. "Hey.. It's okay really... You're safe now lright? I'm sorry that happened to you, and don't worry I'm okay." She bite her lip, she did like her food. "Oh no no! You really don't have to do that!"
Jules shook his head and smiled. "You probably used up a lot of energy, and I'm always hungry.. Let me do this? I don't mind, really." He said softly and took a small breath. He was fine, and she was fine. There was no reason to get upset over this. The police would arrest him and they would be okay. He couldn't help but feel shaky though. He was never good with conflict, he couldn't even sit through scary parts of movies. Sighing a bit he took out his phone looking up the nearest food place, a dinner just down the road. "Come on then, We can at the very least get ice cream."
Winter tilts her head, "I-I don't know... You just had a really bad experience.. Wouldn't you rather just... Go home and sleep or something?" She felt bad for keeping him out, after her moment she just wanted to sleep and cry. She licks her lips when he says found a place. "Are you sure?"
Jules swallowed softly and nodded. "I'm alright." he said softly before forcing another grin as if nothing had even happened. He stuck his arm out and bowed slightly. "Winter, call we get some ice cream?" he questioned with a happy smile. He was good at forgetting bad memories, he had done it before and he would do it again tonight.
Winter looked at him, knowing that smile. She smiled like that sometimes, to forget something bad. Winter smiles at him, giving him. She took his arm, nodding. "Alright. Alright. Ice cream, I'm fine with ice cream always."
Jules smiled happily and nodded holding her arm as they walked. It was silly but a simple gesture made him feel much better. It was nice having friends around. "The real question is chocolate or vanilla?" He asked with a hum walking towards the ice cream shop instead of the dinner. He already knew what he was getting.
Winter gives him a look, rolling her eyes. "Oh please! Neither!" Winter laughs, "Strawberry! Always strawberry!"
Jules laughed softly and shook his head. "Alright, strawberry it is." he said with a smile stepping up and ordering their ice creams. As he was handed the little bags he payed, handing Winter hers. "Here you go.. I suppose I'll see you around?" he asked with a small smile.
Winter takes the ice cream, "You really didn't need to do this you know, but thank you." She smiles, "Heading home? Need me to walk you back and protect you?" Winter grins and laughs a bit.
Jules rolled his eyes fondly and blushed a bit at the comment. "No no. I'm alright, thank you though. Knight in shining armor." He teased back with a soft chuckle shoving his wallet back in his bag. "Enjoy your ice cream, I'll be sure to see you soon Winter."
Winter takes a bow, "If you ever need anything give you knight a call alright?" Winter licks her ice cream with a smile, waving to him. "I'll see you around Jules. Stay safe alright?" She turns around with a grin, walking down down the dark street with a skip in her step.
Jules smiled warmly at her, watching her go before turning on his heels. Deciding to stay on the main roads for the night he made his way home, his ice cream going to waste when he tossed it in the garbage. He wasn't really hungry after that.
