I agree but what this also feels like a very weak and poor attempt to hopefully stop some chatter and mainly not have new fans thinking he is Lestat and that he doesn't get type-cast.
Clearly, most of us agree, the execution was sloppy.
But we all know Aussie Sam is very different than TVL Sam. I am assuming the message will be fairly clear when fans start to really search and see non-TVL Sam and how far removed he is from Lestat.
Along with the fact that now during press they are getting peak, funny, outgoing, quirky, sometimes flirty Sam because of who is with. And he seems like the only person who really brings that side out of him publicly.
Not saying that Sam isn't confident or timid. But I am sure during the Doubt press he isn't going to be as dynamic as he has been the last several weeks in TVL interviews. Which of course, doesn't mean his newer fans still won't be interested, but I think they will be more aware of his non-TVL image, especially now that he wants it out there.

This is an ongoing, coordinated attempt against anyone who likes or supports Sam in the name of 'antiracism'.
I agree with this anon that there is an ongoing, coordinated attempt against anyone who supports Sam but I also agree with BO that we have to look at this issue from MANY angles. For example, who is likely to gain the most if Sam retreats back into his shell in Australia? I mean, all the liking of local projects made me go 🤔. When Sam tried to engage the public on SMbl during Season One, he pulled back due to comments by a very tiny minority of people. I've always asked myself "which SM guru showed Sam those comments" and "who benefits the most by Sam not taking control of his own narrative?" I'm just not 100% convinced we can ONLY blame the so-called antiracism group or Loucels as they are called on Twitter. I believe there are other forces involved in these attacks and they want us to blame Louis fans.
The coordination of these recent attacks feel quite familiar to the attacks we saw on Tumblr recently against certain blogs. What really struck me is the recent hacking attempt against SRU who has become the "official" unofficial Sam Reid fan club go-to for Sam updates and is Jam friendly. I experienced an attempted hack when I posted on my blog about supporting Sam and not transferring my support to someone. The bots and trolls came out in force and someone tried to hack me. I ended up deleting the post because of the intensity.
New anons, please read this blog from the beginning. We are not dealing with rookies here. They are professionals chaos agents who are trying to hold on to a situation that's fading fast. Its gonna malevolent in these parks but we must keep our eyes on our favs and the show (we want more seasons) and bugger projects in the future.
Jacob and Sam will be fine. Their cast members has their backs, but most importantly they have each other's backs. I hope Jacob gets to see Sam's performances in Doubt: A Parable.
Haha anon, you said exactly what I was thinking. I’m sure I’m being targeted because of it. Already being accused of conspiracy theories… but I’ve been right… more than once. Our old motto was to “question everything.” That mindset didn’t change when the blog’s name did.

I think Sam probably go back to NY to rehearse the concert next week and stay there for the premiere/concert, then he'll return to AU to focus on the play

but hoping it means that they're adding dates (somehow) in response to demand. Either an additional NYC date or a little mini tour in the fall after Sam's play wraps.
🤔🤔 I don't think his play ends till early August ... show will be finished airing by then. I think the time to have a mini tour would have been before the show aired, but I guess anything is possible🤷♀️
