I have a friend who grew up outside the US who hates pretzels because he said they have no taste and I tried to explain what they taste like and I couldn't do it.

My dad just gave away my hand in marriage to a drunken man. I look forward to hearing what his perception of our future is and then laughing in his face and then letting him down gently that I would never marry someone based on my father's choices/who would accept a lady's hand in marriage based on my father's choices without first discussing what kind of pretzels the other likes best.
