Doutanuki is always questioning Shishiou's relationship with Jiji(totally not jealous of the grandpa). Shishiou notices Doutanuki's questioning glance and Shishiou just sighs and is like "He reminds me so much of the old man, I just gotta take care of this senile idiot." Doutanuki hugs Shishiou protectively and then Shishiou just kinda deals because he loves his over protective/jealous boyfriend.
Shishiou and Doutanuki made up their own language which consisted of "gao", "Gao", and "GAO". One day saniwa asked Gokotai to translate their conversation, and as he's translating, he asks "what does fuck mean?" Saniwa flips out and quickly says "ITSABADWORDPLEASEDONTSAYITAGAINORICHIGOWILLKILLME!" That night, saniwa heard a lot of "GAO"s and couldn't sleep.
Shishiou is slightly jealous on how buff doutanuki is so he tries to work out and fails. Doutanuki thinks it's cute Shishiou got slightly jealous, but he wants lion son to be happy about himself and his own body so Doutanuki gives him a lecture on self love. That is the exact moment that Shishiou gets a crush on Doutanuki because he's not just mr fight fight sword now, he cares about his comrade and doesn't get upset about what people think of him and Shishiou finds that admirable.
Modern AU when doutanuki met Shishiou when Shishiou just walked up to him and kissed him on the lips. Doutanuki was not ready or prepared. Than ShiShiou runs like hell and doutanuki notices His wallet is gone. Shishiou stole it while smooching doutanuki. Doutanuki is not standing for this so he chases after him and it becomes a huge thing from there. -DSS anon
Welcome back modjiji!!! Hc that Doutanuki likes to play with shishiou's hair but would something pull his hair too hard or tangle it, making shishiou yell "gao" angrily and pout. Doutanuki thought that it was really cute, so he purposely pulls shishiou's hair again, but he pulls too hard and shishiou ends up falling onto Doutanuki's lap. Then saniwa walks in and sees a happy, laughing Doutanuki and an angry Shishiou, and thought that they switched personalities.
Shishiou and Doutanuki were cuddling and giving each other kisses, and saniwa tells them to go get a room. They tell saniwa that they separated them, and saniwa tells them to go to tachi or uchitagana room. They said both rooms are occupied. Saniwa, not knowing what they mean by occupied, goes to the tachi room and immediately shuts the door afterwards. "My babies have grown up" says saniwa as they cry tears of happiness and sadness. Their favorite tantou goes up to them and says "what about me?
DSS anon: doutanuki gets worried for Shishiou's chastity during sorties because in his awakening he basically loses all his clothes. Doutanuki isn't sure he trusts others with CCO's body. Doutanuki begs Saniwa on his hands and knees to send the lion son on expeditions instead.
Shishiou would sometimes trace over doutanuki's scars and doutanuki tries to stop him because it tickles a lot and he wants to look tough in front of gao-boy.
