It was only a matter of time before the meaning behind the candle lighting would draw Mashu out of Chaldea. With Charlemagne’s own intentions of going voiced, it made little sense to wait until she could ascend to some extent out of her slump. The Saber told her of Astolfo and Roland’s sacrifices to see Via Regis Realm’s victory come to fruition, and he couldn’t send a light off for them without Bradamante in accompaniment. She might not have been under their banner for the whole story, but she was first and foremost his Paladin and friend.

There was one other whom they needed to pay tribute to. Charlie had declared it his responsibility, as the bearer of the bad news, and she knew well that his motivation lie in wanting to support her, not to turn a blind eye to her mourning, no matter how much time passed.

To prevent arriving at the shore with a ludicrous number of vessels to set sail, there were a total of four gathered in her arms. On her own, one had gone ahead in Roman’s memory, and these... she needed to do it now, before anything else happened. “Are there any spots along the riverbed where it looks spacious?”

They say cranberries are rich in antioxidants. That’s the catchphrase here too. Seiichirou knows that it’d be only regular consumption that’d help with anyone so naturally it was just there to pitch the deal.

“ Admittedly it isn’t a bad one.... “ Seiichirou mumbles as his eyes scan the baked product shelf, “ a free pick from these huh... as long as buy the juice. “

He makes the order. It’s simple math really, maybe they ordered too much or perhaps they just want to boost sales but it doesn’t seem a scam.  The final rule however turns out to be what troubles Seiichirou the most. The stranger he’s sitting with seems a tad familiar.

Perhaps its pure coincidence that sees these two particular characters seated in the back of some wayward bar. Or perhaps it some ill-drawn fate that sees them together, a pile of cards scattered between them. Nevermind the context of such a crossing, nor the questions of why or how; those are purely unimportant for the moment.

“--Yeah. You can imagine my surprise running into an Artoria that didn’t recognise me! Imagine my shock!” A fluttering laugh rolls off his tongue and a red cards falls onto the pile between them.

Pure coincidence, and the horrible twisting of fate. What lays in store for the two Sabers? Chaos, of course. “As you said, it would be pure ‘awesome’. It would be so beyond awesome, it may very well sees us etched into the histories of this island for all that come afterwards.” That’s an exaggeration, but Loxley’s not here to correct him. “So? Shall we? Or will I be forced to make this venture alone.”
