Another year has come to an end at Hogwarts, which means a new graduating class is ready to enter the wizarding world. To celebrate this, the House of Shafiq will be hosting a graduation party for their eldest son. Everyone who is anyone will be there and, it will obviously be the talk of the summer. Rumor has it this would be a perfect opportunity for the adults to scout some new...talent. Don’t miss it.

Hello, everyone!! We hope you like our first event. We’ll be opening on JULY 13, THURSDAY, AT 12 NOON, GMT+8. We’re so excited to have all of you, and we can’t wait to get the ball rolling!

Some more details about the party:

The party is being held at the Shafiq Manor and is open to everyone. Order members will be encouraged to go to keep an eye on the Death Eaters, and vice versa for the Death Eaters. This would be a great time to do some spying, eavesdropping, plotting. There’s only so much tension one party can hold.

The Manor itself is located at a secret location in London. Everyone who RSVPd to any of the invitations—whether the one on the radio or the ones in the papers—was given the location of the party, as well as instructions on how to Apparate there. There are also constantly-replicating Portkeys from five locations around Britain. All these lead one to the entrance, a large, open-air hallway with bright Baroque decor.

After choosing your drink from the dozens of enchanted trays near the large entrance, you enter the huge ballroom, an ice centerpiece in the middle depicting a leopard, the animal on the Shafiq coat of arms. There are various small patios leading to the open air outside, also enchanted to be cleaner than typical London smog. Regular visitors to the manor—meaning purebloods—know which house elves to talk to for access to smaller, inside rooms for more, ehem, private dealings.

For this event, we would like to see everyone either post a starter and reply to at least three starters. If you have multiples, you only have to reply to a minimum of three total. If you post a starter, be sure to reply to someone else’s first. Make sure to use the tag dowstart when posting your starter! Please tag all your posts with dowevent1 to keep our main event tag clean! Again, this event will begin on JULY 13, THURSDAY, AT 12 NOON, GMT+8. It will end on JULY 16, SUNDAY, JULY 18, TUESDAY, AT 12 MIDNIGHT, GMT+8. Happy roleplaying!

January 1, 1976 ; New Year’s Party

We were all ticking time bombs -

The men in black tux’s let the platters of wine descend, glass shattering as it smashed onto concrete, an ear-splitting sound. Coats are shed as wands are grasped in calloused hands. The night is tainted with darkness, seeping through everyone’s life in that golden moment. In a hushed minute, it felt time had slowed only to drag it on for centuries. How beautiful they were, the men offering drinks. To stand there, as inert, as silent as the night. But now they are gently caressed with madness, eyes gleaming with an insatiable thirst. A thirst for blood, for a viscous dream to come true by morning light; all for a tale of of lunacy told by a man who they dare not speak of. The demons had escaped, unleashed, and they were not made to hold anyone. No, they were there to create everyone’s demise.

And now we’ve exploded. 

A clock tolls in the distance. The single sound pounding in ears, in hearts, before the clamors of fright and pain echo in the square. A group dressed in black were armed only with wands and brilliant smiles. Spirits made almighty, but equally a menace to their own well-being. They are weapons like a sword without a hilt, two-edged blades cleaving everything; all but the men who wield them. And it was all shades of red and black, deadly at midnight. Innocents were suffering, and the lost of them was something to fear. 

With scarlet painting the square, blood drenching in the cracks, it began the river of faultless blood that was not pristine enough for the gods that tower above. All the mighty men fall, falling into an abyss, bodies clumped together in piteous entanglements on the cold ground. Was this excessive cruelty or an astonishing sacrifice? Perhaps not even that. But, there are only small voices that rise in retaliation, their wands gleaming in the moonlight with cultivated strength. 

Blessed was the land, a holy ground in the muggle world. Blessed was the land, branded with smeared blood from the lives held dear. The lower have been harmed, wounded by creatures casted out of the heavens. But, weren’t they all angels once. Once. Until this night. With a craving of blood lust on tongues and searing heat on fingertips, they continue only to finally meet the hands of fortune. The Order fueled by anger, anger that turns your blood to thorns and sliced your insides, strike back at the savage men that seek to create a wasteland. Not tonight, they say. Before them laid the fading luster of their world, at which they danced upon, as though it were a celestial city. But not tonight. They would not defeat them. In their solitary, in the madness, they would not give up the fight. With a call of the wild and a smirk that could kill, they all knew the chaos has only just begun. 

The New Year’s Party will take place from 9/5 - 9/11. During this time all students can either stay at the event hosted by the ministry or return to Hogwarts until school begins.

This event is hosted by the Ministry and is part two of two.

Both para’s and gif chats are allowed to take course during this event, and remember they may extend past the dates assigned. Updates, twists, and other unforeseen events will be posted on the main.

The dates that interactions can be are 1st to 11th of January 1977.

Extra information: The muggles cannot see/hear what it happening in the square. The Death Eaters had unknowingly had it hidden from the outside world. And, currently, it is a back and forth act of war occurring between the Order and Death Eaters. Which will end before morning with casualties/deaths on both sides.

December 19, 1976 ; Christmas Break

Inside pounding chests are souls clouded with terror. People are afraid, shadows on the castle walls filling their hearts with fright. Yet, the time has drawn near! Winter is in the air and students no longer need to whisper prayers. Hearts become tender with childhood memories and love of kindred; innocence seeping into fingertips as they bolt from there rooms. The halls ring empty, silhouettes having danced there way out, and students wrap up in blankets as they snuggle up to the fires at home. Christmas is in the air and there are no more reasons for tears. 

The Holiday break will take place from 8/23 - 9/8. During this time all students can either decide to stay at Hogwarts, for the entire duration, or be outside of Hogwarts to return to their families and friends for the Holidays. 

This event is to give characters a chance to interact in new environments. Which invites more actions or decisions to take place in less secure locations. 

Both para’s and gif chats are allowed to take course during this event, and remember they may extend past the dates assigned. Updates, twists, and other unforeseen events will be posted on the main.

The dates that interactions can range from are 19th of December to 6th of January.
