As you know I fucking love everything you write. Your worlds draw me in and inspire me, hence sometimes I think thinky thoughts about them 😂 The soulmates story with Ari, nghhhh 🔥 I truly feel for the Reader, it's a damn struggle - on one hand it's Ari and why not to just give in to this perfect god of a man, on the other hand it's a choice she didn't make. The "meant to be" is a more romantic forced relationship, right? And I absolutely love to read and torment myself with that struggle.

Buuuut - it also made me wonder. What would happen if it was the other way around? If it was Ari in a relationship and you strolled into his life, waving soulmate card. I mean, would this Ari (with how eager he is to consume you completely) just drop everything and roll with it? Or would Ari be shocked and struggling too? Or maybe it was all a game and he purposely waited for you to make the first move?

Ahh! I love the "what if" of this. It's interesting, and I apologize for going off course a bit, this is actually kind of the set up I have should Andy exist in this AU.

While Ari's aura is red, Andy's aura is blue and he is already with Laurie when he meets his reader. He's conflicted because he feels the pull to be with you, but he's also in love with Laurie and has a life established. He ultimately chooses that life with Laurie, as much as it pains the both of you. And unlike Ari's reader, you slowly find a way to keep him out of your head.

Better not tell Ari's girl that.

And you do keep Andy out until his life comes crashing down and he finds you with some help. And while you sympathize with him, you tell him you're not a consolation prize because things didn't work out Laurie. Cue Andy doing whatever it takes to get you.

Now, if Ari was with someone else? This Ari is very calculated and it would ultimately surprise him, but remember what he said: He TRIED to replace the idea of a soulmate with other people and it didn't work. Anyone he is with isn't you. So as much as it would piss him off a little to not be in full control of the situation, he would quickly remedy that. He might even be a little offended if you easily walked away because why wouldn't you fight for him? He's your fucking soulmate.

And you're meant to be with him.
