Orange Layer Cake. The ever popular sandwich cake with a layer of marmalade between orange sponge with a lemon glaze and candied orange peel on top. I’m not a huge fan of citrus desserts, but this is tasty and @nyfiddler is a huge fan. After an eight hour set, we have Champagne Jelly! I filled it with fresh peaches and red cherries. While I’m not going to start making aspics, I get why the Victorians+ we’re obsessed with molded food; it’s impressive looking and when the flavor is good, like this jelly, it’s fun to eat. Not to mention, with this particular recipe you get to show off your wealth with all the expensive ingredients glittering like jewels inside the jelly.
