While other agents made small talk, Eddie sat as far from everyone as she possibly could. She was still a bit nervous about being here; it was her first mission, though far from her first fight. She lightly bit her lip, shaking her head and turning her right hand over. The plates on the palm slid open and she fiddled with the wires inside, checking to see everything was properly connected to avoid any mishaps when they left the vehicle. It was also a way to avoid eye contact and people noticing her distance. They’d try to talk. She didn’t want to talk.
“Ah, shit...” she mumbled, pulling her fingers from the device. It closed as soon as she did this, her eyes scouring the seat next to her and then the floor. “Where did I...” She couldn’t find her mask, she swore she had it pushed up on her head when she entered the vehicle. A light huff slipped from her lips, hands both going to her head as if she’d find it there the longer she kept them there. I may have to go without for today... Her eyes rose, meeting someone else’s and immediately flitting away. Her hands dropped into her lap, acting as if she hadn’t been doing anything weird.
Fuck, at this rate I’ll never fit in.
