It seems that the Titans have gained yet another member! The new member was spotted earlier today with Cyborg and Starfire in New York, saving people from a burning building and stopping a heist of US Navy-repurposed Atlantean Technology by Orca. However, this new Titan appears to be a hopefully-reformed old enemy of the Titans: Vanadia!
Two months ago, Titans Tower was attacked in the middle of the night by an android who, as Donna Troy, Wonder Girl, explained at the time “had the powers of every Titan. She had a version of my lasso, Starfire’s beams, Cyborg’s arm blasts, and everything else. Vanadia was like our own Amazo.”
Vanadia was created by the supervillain inventor Dr. T.O. Morrow, then working at STAR Labs as part of a villain reformation program, in their Post-Human Project. She was a victim of human experimentation that granted her the superpowers of the Titans, before having her brain implanted into a cybernetic body upon her early death. Her case was brought to light by Cyborg after the attack, and supported with files he took from the STAR Labs databases. Dr. Morrow has since been placed in prison again, and STAR Labs faced large fines, governmental sanctions, and a review of all their ongoing projects.
But despite the attention given to her case, Vanadia was still dead, destroyed by the Titan Raven in her attack on their tower. Her family held a private funeral, attended by the Titans, and reportedly buried an empty casket.
However, apparently Vanadia wasn’t lost forever. Earlier today, she was spotted saving families from the fire of a heavily populated apartment building in the middle of Washington Heights with Starfire and Cyborg. The latter two appeared to be supervising Vanadia’s first outings after her mysterious return to life. Together, the trio saved 58 inhabitants of the building, including all of the pets inside.

After the fire, the trio stopped an attack by the gang Whale’s Enders, led by Orca, on the U.S. Naval Combat Capabilities Development Command Research Center (COMDEV). This center is dedicated to repurposing Atlantean technology and making it effective in military applications on the surface.
Orca and her crew attempted to steal ten suits of retrofitted Atlantean power armor, designed to house one person each and give them a collection of high-tech weaponry. If the suits were successfully stolen, “we would be facing a national security disaster of the worst kind,” Dr. Jesse Finley, director of the project, stated. Vanadia interrupted the arrest, first battling Orca directly before seizing control of the power armor with her apparent ability to control machinery.

Unfortunately, Vanadia’s seizing of the machines apparently affected Cyborg as well. Starfire was forced to catch her fellow Titan and make Vanadia stop, as Cyborg had fallen from the sky. Later, in a post on WayneSky, Donna Troy informed everyone that Cyborg had made a full recovery.
The Titans leader also explained that Vanadia had been under the team’s custody and was reactivated and had Dr. Morrow’s manipulative programming removed by them, in order to give her another chance at life. “Vanadia may have a spotty past, but she is now a fully welcomed member of our team,” she stated. “We will be working to train her in being an effective superhero, so please keep an open mind. We’re very glad for her assistance.”
Hopefully Vanadia will continue to operate on the Titans for a long time, proving to everyone that sometimes, villains can be reformed. We wish her the best of luck!

Early this morning, at approximately 5:39 EST, the Titans were called in to investigate a late-night supervillain attack on Kosciuszko Bridge in New York City. What they didn’t know was that the early morning light would soon illuminate a murderous volcanic villain.
The team was reportedly contacted by the Department of Extranormal Operations (DEO), a secretive branch of the United States Government responsible for monitoring people with superpowers and managing those who are incarcerated. Very little is known about the organization aside from that.
In this instance, what is known is that the DEO was transporting an unknown number of powered individuals to Stryker’s Island Penitentiary in Metropolis. The transport was attacked late last night, at an undisclosed time, by a group of supervillains. They succeeded in defeating the DEO security team and freeing at least one prisoner from the transport vehicle before escaping to the wind. All members of the security team survived the encounter, aside from some minor injuries.
The Titans, asked to investigate the attack and determine the potential culprits, were ambushed by one of the villains left behind by the assailants. They fought Volcano Man, a minor supervillain who has previously battled the Challengers of the Unknown and the Doom Patrol. Volcano Man is, as the name implies, a sentient being made of lava. Thankfully, the Titans were able to quickly subdue him by depositing him in Newtown Creek, successfully extinguishing him.

Wonder Girl, in dual posts made to the official Titans pages on WayneSky and L, explained that the extinguished Volcano Man will be collected by DEO operatives and be transported to Stryker’s Island Penitentiary. This time, a member of the Titans will oversee the transport, ensuring the successful transfer of the supervillain.
She did not reveal any further information on the villains involved in the attack on the transport or who they liberated, but vowed that the Titans will hunt them down and capture them. We at the Daily Planet sincerely hope that Wonder Girl’s words will ring true. In the meantime, if you see any wandering supervillains, make sure to contact the proper authorities.

It seems that one of the Titans’ central members, Raven, may be experiencing some complications with her powers.
Very little is known about this member of the Titans team. She appears to have originally joined the group two decades ago, when the original members still operated under the name Teen Titans. Then, despite changing membership over the years, Raven has consistently remained on the Titans through their many different iterations. Last year, she joined the Titans as they officially formed to replace the now-reformed Justice League as the world’s primary hero organization.
All the public knows about Raven is that she’s a longstanding member of the Titans, has been in an on-again-off-again relationship with Beast Boy, and is the half-daughter of Trigon. Even her powers are mysterious to the general public, with very little clarification on what she can actually do. But, one of the things we do know about her, is that she’s an empath of some form.
This facet of Raven's powers was what haunted the citizens of New York yesterday afternoon. Raven, reportedly on a walk with Beast Boy in Central Park, was harassed by a group of anti-meta protesters who nearly incited Beast Boy into a fight. Raven’s empathetic powers appear to have overloaded during the incident, causing the park-goers to turn angry. They formed a mob that almost attacked the anti-meta hecklers.
One civilian described the feeling as if “my mind wasn’t my own. I was personally a bit annoyed by those idiots, but then there was just this rush of anger. It was mine, but it was distinctly not at the same time.” Thankfully, Beast Boy managed to stop the mob by turning into an adorable quokka and successfully dispelling their anger.
However, Raven then kissed Beast Boy to thank him, which caused all of the civilians to start kissing each other. Normally we here at the Daily Planet are big fans of love, especially between some of our beloved heroes, but not this kind. In a fortunate turn of events, the Titans appeared on the scene and Starfire successfully distracted the lovebirds to finally put an end to the emotional hijacking.

In a statement released to the public on L (formerly known as ‘Twitter’) by Donna Troy, Wonder Girl, the Titans apologized for Raven’s emotional projection. They promised that they are working on solutions for her, and expect her to be able to return to field duty within the next few days. So if Raven is your favorite Titan, then don’t worry! She’ll be back soon and hopefully better than ever.
