Randomly sat down and finished one of my Owlboy saves today and gosh it’s just such a special game. I can’t stress how incredible Owlboy’s themes are. Makes me want to be a better person to the people around me and make the most out of my life instead of trying to constantly fix things I can’t control.

Ask for help from the people you love and build a support group that cares for your best interests. Sometimes that’s all you need in life to succeed.

TRUST that the people around you know what they’re talking about when they say they love you. ❤️

(In the context of the game it wasn’t entirely Solus’ fault things turned out the way they did…that’s why he’s my favorite; he’s an incredibly tragic character. A character to foil Otus and friends who couldn’t defy fate like Otus could. Sigh)

'Memories' Owlboy Fanart Zine Now Complete

(3/29/2022) Hello. After several pauses and obstacles, the Sanctuary server's second zine 'Memories' is now completed.

This zine features fanart of Owlboy's most exciting story points from our incredibly talented team. It's quite short and compact, but still illustrates our community's fascination and adoration for this game. Our server has spent many, many hours discussing Owlboy and its delightfully vague story elements, shown with every line and paintstroke within this zine.

This project was loads of fun to work on, and I wouldn't take back any of the hours I spent contributing to it. As zine director, I deeply hope you enjoy what our team has lovingly put together.

Please accept our love letter for this wonderful game.

owlboy is one of my favorite games ever and i love this game with my whole heart!! i watched the stream(as best as i could) and it was so much fun!!! @dpadstudio made a wonderful game that i’ll cherish forever bc it just makes me happy and let me meet some absolutely wonderful people!

Not usually one to post pictures of myself, but I’ll make an exception in this case~ (Pls ignore the bathroom, it was really crowded in the hall and I needed to put the wig on lmao)

My first ever cosplay, for Exeter Film and Comic Con (not that Comic Con, mind) :D I went as Otus from Owlboy <3 He’s such an adorable little bean! Hopefully I did him justice! Had a blast hanging with @scribblygryphon and @tabby-paws too!

Lots of lessons learned should I ever decide to dress up again, but on the whole I’m really happy with how he turned out. Mostly comfortable and cool to wear too. Didn’t get time to do the shoes sadly, but that’s something I can fix if I decide to wear this again. The cape is probably my favourite part; hand sewing was a mistake tho rip

Oh yeah, I also ended up with an honourable mention from the cosplay contest! Not too bad for my first try -w-

Big ol’ thanks and credit to @dpadstudio for the amazing game, character and story! I have replayed the entire game a few times and notice so much more every time I do. Please play it if you haven’t, it’s a fantastic (albeit a little depressing) pixel platformer that needs more love!!
