recently watched a handful of episodes of Supernatural and im kinda impressed with Dean's steadfast belief that all monsters are monsters and can't be redeemed.
With that in mind... there could be some VERY angsty Danny Phantom crossovers with that as the main premise
Prompt: Danny and phantom with a ruby and Sapphire dynamic, you know the fusion thing, preferably pitch pearl but it's ok if it isn't because you are uncomfortable :] it could be a Fenton and phantom or a super Danny and fun Danny
A little context here: I ended up making the Jail break Steven universe episode with the DP cast and a few alteration and I have a Steven stand-in called Jude and in this universe her mom is a ghost and Danny takes care of her ^^

Painfully, Jude began to awaken. Her head throbbed and the loud noises nearby only made it worse. That ghost really packed a punch, but what did he want and why did he attack them and, wait, Danny poofed! She needs to find him and help him, before that ghost seriously hurt him-
A loud bang knocked her out of her through process, and pain rippled threw her skull again.
Jude took a few breath, trying to calm herself, before surveying her surroundings, she need to save him like he did to her so many times. She was locked in some kind of cell, hard metal plating lining every wall and thick bars, which looked strong enough to cage a dragon, stopped her from any kind of escape. To test the bars, Jude made a flame in her hand, attempting to see if she could melt them.
Nothing happened.
She could hear something very loud a few cells down, it must have been was made that bang noise.
"It seem like they aren't a happy camper," Jude mumbled as she tried to lean against the bar to see whatever was making all that noise, before promptly falling through the bars.
"Oh my ancients, I am in the ghost zone," Jude chuckled to herself as she picked herself off the ground, "This guy must not know who I am".
With her newly found freedom, she went to check on the noise. As she approached closer, she began to realize she could understand the noise, it was ghost speak. The person over there was yelling to be let go or he'd destroy everything he could and well as several profanities Jude was never taught but she had heard Kitty and her boyfriend say when they thought she wasn't around.
"Hello?" She asked in ghost speak as she finally reached the cell, "Are you alright?"
The ghost had white hair that flowed as if there was no gravity, and wild, perching green eyes that stared into her core. Their aura felt strange and chaotic, like one half of a whole, with an air of unstable static electricity bouncing off of them. The ghost's black and white clothes looked oddly familiar and their lower was in wisp form as floated above the ground, desperately gripping the bar that kept them caged.
"Jude? You're out? Get me out please, I need to leave this damn cell an- please le-let me out," The ghost rushed through their words as relief washed over their face and Jude could literally feel him plead with his aura.
"Wait, what? How do you know me?"
"I dont have time to explain I need to get out of here please please please let me out I need to leave I need to find him I cant- I cant stay any longer- I CANT!!"
The ghost seemed genuinely and worried, their aura backing them up, plus a strange feeling in Jude's gut told her to trust them.
She quickly rushed over to the control panel and burned it, short circuiting the device and opening all the cells in the hall, releasing the panicked ghost.
"Thank you!" they said before quickly flying away to find whatever was making them so nervous.
Jude followed the ghost as much as she could, hoping they would know how to find Danny, but they quickly lost her, leaving her to wander the hall alone. The prison she found herself in was like a maze, endless hallways leading forever. Luckily, Jude had been able to avoid the guards but that luck quickly ran out.
As she turn the corner, she came face to face with the hunter, Skulker. He looked just as shocked as she did, so Jude decided to take that chance to run.
"Wait!" He called out, as he tried making his aura as comforting as possible, "I am not going to hurt you".
"And why do you think I'll believe that? I have heard you literally say you wanted to skin Danny and lay his pelt in front of your fire place".
"Good point," He sighed as he got down on his knees and raise his hands, "But your different, you're Ember's kids right?"
"You knew my mom?"
"Heh, yeah I knew her. We were… 'friends'. But we fought and stopped talking with each other, I haven't seen she since".
"She's.."
"I know"
A loud howl erupted on the other side of the building, shaking the entire thing. Skulker quickly got up and check a screen on his wrist.
"Yeah, I am not messing with pissed off Phantom," he turned back to Jude before deploying a flying device, "I am assuming you want to find your friend, right? This will lead you to him".
"Thank you" Jude said before she left to find Danny.

The hallways continued to wind as Jude ran after the flying device, leading her further into the unknown, with the sounds of battle shaking the building so much, it had almost caused her to fall several times. It was almost like it was getting closer.
Finally, the device stopped right before a crossroads. For a moment, Jude thought the device had lead her to nowhere, until she realized why it stopped. To her left, in a small cage made of ectoplasmic lasers, sat a young human man with black hair, who kinda looked like a really small Danny, humming a familiar tune, and right to him stood the ghost who caused all Jude's current problems.
"SHUT UP" the ghost yelled, hitting his fist against the wall, and silencing the man's humming, before storming off the deal with the battle.
As soon as she heard the ghost footsteps disappear, she quickly rushed to free the man.
"Jade?" the man asked in surprise as she approach.
"Why does everyone here know who I am?" she responded as she broke the panel that controlled the cage, release the man.
"I'll can explain that later, first though, we have to find them, they will worry to much with out me by their side"
"You mean the electric ghost- whoa!" the man cut her off as he began to pull her along with him, them both dashing down the halls of the prison, running closer to the sounds of battle.
Then as the turn a corner, they saw them, the ghost Jude had first met in the cell.
"PHANTOM!" "FENTON!" they both yelled at each other as they hugged, before separating and spinning each other in their arms and embracing again, leading a bright light to fill the room.
When the light finally dimmed, their where no longer two people at the center of the room but one, larger and stronger and whole.
"Danny?!" she gasped.
"Jude!" Danny shouted, a grin spread from cheek to cheek, and quickly rushed to hug her, "Thank you, thank you, thank you!"
"You're two people? How does that work?" Her muffed voice asked under his crushing hug.
"Sorry we didn't want you to find out like this," he said as he finally released her, "that was ghost and human half, I used to be able to switch in between them but now I am them combined".
"Wow, that's weird? But really cool! I am happy I got to meet them!!"
"Yeah it is. They really liked meeting you too-"
"THERE YOU ARE," a loud voice boomed from behind them.
The ghost who imprisoned them in this place, stood behind them, "You both will regret all of this" he said with a sneer.
"Jude, choose a direction and run, the walls can't stop us in this form, I'll find you later, but first I got to deal with Walker".
"Are you sure?"
"Yup I got this, I mean, half of me already managed to blast through over half of his forces" Walker's grimace furthered at Danny's words.
Jude nodded before running out of the building.
"If your so unstable you have to fuse your two halves, maybe you should just stay in two pieces. It's the honorable thing to do," Walker scoffed as he grabbed his gun.
"You are last person who should be talking about whats honorable or not" the halfa laughed as he began to freeze the room, "But I get it, you jealous that I am so much stronger then you".
Tired of his words, Walker shot first, Danny dodging each blast before shooting some of his own. As soon as he saw an opening, Danny knock the gun out of Walkers hand before landing a punch, leading Walker to grab his arm and throw him across the room. Fortunately, the Halfa landed on his feet and side swiped Walker off of his before covering him in ice completely.
"Well that'll keep you down for while," Danny smirked, clapping the dust off of his hands, "Now it's time to leave before you goons show up".
Turning in the direction Jude left, Danny breathed in slowly and deeply before releasing his ghostly wail, destroying every wall of the prison in it's way. With a quick goodbye the a very angry and froze Walker, his sprinted out of the building.
"Danny? Can we leave now?" Jude asked, popping out of the bushes a little away from the hole.
"Yup! Get on my back and I can fly use both home!!!"Danny grinned as he kneeled down, letting Jude climb on his back before he leaped of the edge of the prison, and began to fly back home.
"Can we get some snacks on the way back?"
"Sure! I am a little hungry too. Oh! and while we are at it, I'll properly introduce you to Fenton and Phantom!"
Ok, I think I'm finally ready to share my Danny phantom x Steven universe crossover idea!
It's a mash between the two universes and their lore, where the reason why gemkind has become immortal is that they altered their reproduction by becoming beings of pure life energy or what they call eternal light. This eternal light essentially works as the natural opposing force of ectoplasm.
The gems have never encountered other intelligent life form before earth, so they underestimate humanity, they never thought that humans could reach the infinite realms. Ghosts pose an incredible threat to the gems, as they are the only creatures capable of permanently killing gems with no coming back, not even with the help of the diamonds.
That's why it was so alarming when white diamond felt the presence of an opening to the infinity realms, that should not be naturally possible since the first gems closed the connection between the two dimensions, meaning that a portal has been created and needs to be destroyed immediately.
So this is the basics of the prompt, however I will ramble a bit more below. So if are interested, click on the read more section!
About a timeline, I was thinking SU future when Steven is feeling a despaired need of being useful, So he is trilled to be the one solving portal situation. I was also thinking how the gems would react to the ghosts, I imagine that the gems would feel an instinctive repulsion towards them.
You know how the humans in SU avoid the gems and their structures? What if is because they feel somewhat similar to ghosts and humans evolved to avoid them.
The gem's gemstones would parallel ghost cores. I presume that this prompt should also be a ghost king au, so Danny and the ancients could be the ghost counterpart of Steven and the diamonds.
I mention long time ago that Steven would technically be the antagonist, and honestly I still not sure about that, my initial idea was that Steven tried to heal the ghosts with his powers so they could "move on", not understanding that he was actually just poisoning them, the effects of Steven's healing powers would be like hanaki disease where the ghost slowly turn into flowers leading Steven to believe that was a form of reincarnation. Well, that was the idea, still debating if this last part is too mean-spirited though.
DPXSU fanfic I'm working on right now, still going to come up with DPXDC prompts in the mean time...
Steven Finds a marble on the beach with a crack on it... he fixes the crack and then bubbles them to keep them safe. Later they notice that they can somehow form through the bubble, everyone's confused. Soon Danny reforms as a little kid! How'd a gem turn into a human boy??
Danny loves space though and he spends hours listening to Pearl talk about space...
I'm deciding on when in the SU I want this to take place but as soon as I figure that out...

Another interesting idea to explore would be if any of the species that Homeworld eliminated when they colonized their planet ended up in the Ghost Zone. We had already seen that non-sentient creatures were still capable of generating ghosts after all.
Oh, that would make a lot of sense! Even though they aren't self-aware like humans, they would still be capable of resentment if Cujo's behavior is anything to go by. That makes Steven's mission even more dire, with all the vengeful ghosts hunting the gems that now live on earth.
What do you think a fusion of Steven and Danny would be like?
Well, I'm pretty sure they would be incredibly mentally unstable, hero complex², like sugilite unsfusing would be difficult they have similar goals, are stronger together, and amplify each other's traits to an unhealthy degree, especially if we are talking about Steven from future. For a lighter note, I think their fusion would be even more enthusiastic about space, they cannot be stopped when they start rambling about it.
Just be clear, this fusion wouldn't be possible in my main crossover au, but it's fun to think about the possibilities anyway. Also, what should their name be? 🤔

That's a pretty interesting question (*｀▽´*) I'm not fully sure if I'm being honest. Here is some of what I could come up with. Moreover, if you have better ideas for this scenario, please feel free to share!
If a ghost tried to overshadow a gem, the gem would immediately lose its form. The gemstone itself would lose color and begin to rotten, the ghost wouldn't fair much better, quickly losing their ectoplasm as it starts to neutralize the gem, if the ghost doesn't get out in time, they both will become nothing. The only gems that could survive a long attempt of overshadowing would be one of the diamonds. However, they might still suffer some nasty side effects, like maybe both their gemstones and physical forms permanently lose size and power, something like that IDK ┐('～`;)┌.
As for Steven, I don't think he is capable of possessing a full ghost, after all, he only ever shown to be able to possess living creatures unless you consider his technological interference as form of possession ( -_・)? Still, I feel that he would be capable of possessing Hafas, not their core, mind you, but their brain. Though I don't believe he would get full control, the core will fight him. I suspect this ought to be an extremely uncomfortable experience for both, feeling similar to sleep paralysis.
