Of course in this prompt I'm using demon twins but you can use any sibling you want honestly!
After years of being separated Damian had finally figured out how to cope without Danyal, and how not to be so angry with himself for what had happened. Most days he hadn't even thought of him actually. He was finally able to live in the moment.
Then small things start to remind him of his brother. Little things like a cup of Karak that was just the way Danyal had liked it left for him while he studied, small trinkets or snacks that kept appearing around the manor, maybe even Danyal's favored weapon prominently left out in Damian's room as a glaring reminder.
He thought he was past his grief so why now is it cropping up again full force? Why are all these coincidences occurring making the guilt burn again like an old wound growing irritated? He couldn't wrap his brain around it so he just kept pushing forwards. Burying himself in patrols and cases.
Except now things have been popping up wherever he goes. He's losing it how are there so many reminders of him? Why? Bits just coincidence right? He tries to ignore them at first. Just keeps moving forwards. That is until one big thing occurs. Maybe its Danyal's favored weapon left next to a white van in an alleyway or some other thing that Damian can't ignore.
He places a tracker on the van with the feeling of someone urging him to follow it. This leads him to a supposedly abandoned warehouse with guards crawling all over it. Guards dressed in all white.
Upon further investigation he finds ghosts being tortured mostly ghostly animals all those too feeble to get away. Upon searching the records he finds it tho. He finds what whatever was urging him, reminding him, intended for him to find. Subject Phantom. Danyal.
Somehow his brother is here, Alive? Dead? Its beyond him but he's here and he's being tortured by these people. All in the name of science. Damian wastes no time. He will be leaving here with his brother and those poor animals wether these men in white like it or not.
Who is the one who left the clues behind to lead Damian to Danny? Dealers choice! It could be Clockwork, any ghostly rouge, fright knight, even some part of Danny himself that isn't strong enough just to interact. The world is your oyster!
