Leis doesn't do a nerve hookup or vaginectomy either. So you wouldn't feel anything in the penis, couldn't pee out of it, and your original anatomy is still there.
It says on the website that it’s fully sensate? Where are you getting your information? And the vaginectomy would come when I did the urethroplasty with another surgeon.
I like Leis’ results for how natural they look as compared to some of the other methods. It’s just my personal opinion.
I've been obsessing over phalloplasty for the past couple of weeks. I'm certain it's something I want to do and a friend of mine told me about his consultation with Dr. Sherman Leis in Philadelphia. Leis does it a little differently and from what I have seen/heard, more effectively. He uses two groin flaps or an abdominal flap for the creation of the phallus. This process allows for good blood flow to the area since the veins are preserved. Hospitalization is for only one day, which makes the cost much less than the more widely used procedures. All in all it costs around $20,000 for Leis' process. The downside is, he doesn't perform urethroplasty and doesn't recommend it get performed at all because of the high percentage of complications. I'm not sure how I feel about this, honestly. I would probably wait until I completely healed from the phallo procedure and then go to Dr. Crane to see about a urethroplasty. I talk like this is going to happen soon but I'm still a good few years away from it being a reality. Maybe there will be even more innovations by the time I'm ready to get it done.
Top and bottom surgery talk with Dr Leis. I like this guy. He loves his job- you can tell by the way he talks, and I've only heard him talk for the first 15 minutes so far.
In order to get top surgery with dr Sherman leis do you have to be on hormones?
Under Prerequisites, it says you have to be on hormones for at least a year. However, it also says you need a letter from 2 mental health specialists, and I did not need any.
