Jelly, would you ever consider writing a medical au levi fic? wherein levi is a doctor working in the same hospital as reader who is a nurse. Whatever levi specialises in as a doctor can be up to you depending on which direction you'd wanna take the plot, but he could be a paediatrician, surgeon, radiologist etc etc and you can choose how they meet but i think a medical career dynamic would be so cool to read about as there's kinda a shortage of medical levi/Dr. levi fics which is a shame
Sure thing! I think people make the reader the doctor or nurse because of how Levi ends up in the manga, so people are linking it to that and wanting him to get better due to us. It's pretty cute. I do love the idea of Levi being the doctor and have thought about having him as a doctor at an asylum and he's in charge of the reader and others. I do agree it is a shame there isn't more of Dr Levi, but I think it's because people are inspired by manga Levi. I'll make Levi a paediatrician because him working with kids will just warm all our hearts.
Dr Ackerman and his new nurse
Pairing: Levi x Reader
Genre and tags: Romance, falling in love, emotional comfort, emotional support, emotional growth, connecting.
Concept: The reader is a caring and hard-working nurse and is moved from department to department because of her care and dedication. She gets moved to the paediatric department and meets the head doctor, Levi. At first, she thinks he's cold and harsh, but when she sees how he is with the kids, her feelings change. All the while Levi has been admiring her from afar and asked for her to be moved to his department.
Levi walked through the halls of the hospital on his way to the nurse's station. He'd heard that you had moved to his department today after he'd so desperately tried to get you to move over ages ago. Levi had been admiring you from afar for so long. He loved how well and fast you worked. You had this kind and loving heart as well, which was perfect for his department. Plus, Levi wanted to get to know you a little more.
As soon as he rounded the corner for the nurse's desk he heard them hush up and whisper about him, as well as giggle. Levi knew he was popular, but he didn't understand why. He looked around the ladies and gents to see you fixing your uniform as a nurse kept spouting off things to you.
Levi called your name making your beautiful eyes land on him. He waved you over. "You'll be working closely with me."
You walked up to him and nodded. "Of course. A pleasure to meet you, Dr Ackerman."
He shook your hand. "You too, so don't fuck this up. Follow me."
You hurried after Levi. "Yes sir."
Levi handed you a chart. "We'll be taking care of the sickest children. I don't want you promising them shit you can't deliver, okay? Don't fill their heads will all rainbows and unicorns." He stopped and turned to them. "You distract them. You go in, look after them and talk with them. If I hear you promising them one little thing, you're out!"
You stepped back and nodded. "Yes sir."
"We're not a place of miracles." He turned and walked with you. "I expect the best. You must be clean as well. Every spec of dust and dirt has to go. If I don't think you're cleaning to my expectations, you will be made to clean over and over until you manage it. You're an adult, so act like one."
You gulped hard and nodded. "Yes sir."
"Good. Also, don't kiss my ass all the time. I hate it when people do every single thing I ask." He tapped your chest. "You're your own person. Got it?"
You nodded. "Got it."
"Good." He tapped the list. "Get to work." He walked down the hall and blushed. "I'm glad you're here."
You waved to him as you felt utterly confused. "Uhh, me too, sir!" You looked at his notes and admired his handwriting, then you did your rounds and got to know all the cute kids in his department.
You spent days with them and made connections with all of them. You'd work with Levi now and then, but the kids he worked with were just as much yours as they were his. You didn't see how Levi was with them until a month into your job.
You heard a kid laughing, so you followed the laughing and peaked into the room to see Levi smiling and playing with the little girl. He needed to give her an injection, so he sang her a song and poked her with the needle with the cover on. When she was comfortable enough, he cleaned a spot, poked a bit more and then injected her. You felt your heart flutter at how sweet he really was. You spied on him for the rest of the day and saw how wonderful he was. He held crying toddlers as they got too hot. You danced with other kids to get them to move and make sure their joints didn't lock up. He was all-around perfect.
You weren't sure why he was so cold and harsh at first, but now you were starting to understand. Other nurses and doctors would complain about the harsh cleaning regime, but you understood. Levi wanted the place to be clean so the kids had a better chance of not catching anything while their immune system was weak. He wanted to make sure they had a fighting chance and it warmed your heart.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------
You sat with one of your little kids and listened to her talk, then you rubbed her back when she coughed. "You're getting better, which is great. How do you feel Amber?"
She nodded. "Good. Umm, may I ask you something?"
You ruffled her hair. "Sure, what is it?"
She pouted. "It's my birthday soon and I'm going to be seven. I wanted to know if I could go somewhere?"
You hummed and played with her lovely soft hair. "Not right now. You can't go out yet, but I think I can arrange something for you. You gotta promise me one thing?"
She smiled and nodded. "Sure!"
You pinched her soft cheek. "Keep taking your meds and get plenty of rest."
"I will!" She hugged you. "You're the best nurse ever!"
You hugged her back. "You're too kind to me, but thank you." You got up, then tucked her in. "Sleep well Amber." You left her room and saw Levi jump, then get flustered. "Dr Ackerman, were you spying on me?"
Levi blushed. "I was just umm. I was making sure you were okay."
"I'm great." You gasped. "Actually, I need to talk to you." You hugged his arm and walked with him. "Seeing as we're on the nightshift, we can talk. So, it's Amber's birthday soon and she can't go out. I was thinking we could hold a party here."
Levi hummed. "I umm...sure."
You couldn't believ he agreed so quickly. You let his arm go, then dove at him and embraced him tightly. "Thank you!"
Levi stumbled back and felt a little shocked at first, but then he wrapped his arms around you tightly. You enjoyed the hug, but then you noticed it was going on for a while. You blushed hard, then inhaled Levi's perfect scent. Levi was a mixture between tea, lemon and floral cleaning things. He smelt like a dream. As you enjoyed Levi's scent, he enjoyed your warmth and sweet floral scent.
Levi realised it'd been going on too long and felt embarrassed. He put you down as he blushed hard. "Tch, sorry."
You hummed a laugh as you rubbed his upper arm. "Don't be sorry, okay? If you want a hug, just say."
"If you're sure."
You gave his arm a squeeze. "If I wasn't, I wouldn't have said." You leaned up and kissed his cheek. "Sweet man. Now, we have a birthday to plan. Unless you don't want to assist?"
Levi nodded as he held back a smile. "I'll help you."
You and Levi went shopping together when it was out of hours. You connected more and more. You got to see how sweet he really was, but also shy. He turned the shopping into dates slowly, so you two could get to know each other more than just colleagues and friends. It all seemed to just clicked between you both, but you wouldn't step over the line. Levi didn't want to get into trouble for dating a nurse, but he wanted to be with you. You did something to him that he liked.
He did everything he could to do things around you and to be with you. He helped you set up the party and had fun as he did it. He felt a little shame when you reached up to hook things up and he did nothing to help, because he was too busy eyeing up your body. You knew what he was doing and allowed him to have a little show.
You finished the party off and made it look as close to perfect as possible. "You think Amber will like it?"
Levi nodded. "Of course. I have a great gift for her. In two weeks, she can go home."
You looked to Levi with a sparkle in your eyes. "Really?"
Levi smiled a little. "Yeah. She's recovered really well. So, she can head home."
You hugged Levi's side and squeezed him. "Oh, I'm so happy! She deserves this so much."
Levi smiled more and enjoyed the contact. "Yeah, she does."
You let him go. "I better go get her. You round up the other little ones, okay?"
He nodded and watched you run off. "Got it."
You went to Amber and smiled. "Hello birthday girl!"
Amber giggled. "You're funny."
You winked at her, then helped her out of her bed. "We have somewhere important to go."
"Where?"
You pressed your finger to your lips. "Secret. I busting you out of this room, so don't tell the doctor!"
She gasped, then started laughing. "Okay! But I like Dr Ackerman."
You held her hand tightly and walked with her. "Well, he is a lovely man, isn't he?"
Amber looked up at you. "Do you like Dr Ackerman?"
You blushed. "Oh, well, I do. He's a good friend."
Amber pouted. "Poopy."
You frowned at her. "Poopy?"
She nodded. "Yes!"
You hummed a laugh at how cute she was. "Alright, it's poopy." You stopped by a door. "Right, the secret is in here. Ready?"
She puffed her cheeks and stood her ground. "Ready!"
You opened the door and shouted with everyone. "SURPRISE!"
Amber gasped, then welled up. "Birthday party?"
You knelt down and hugged her. "Happy birthday sweetheart. I know we couldn't go outside, so we brought the party to you." You winked at her. "Now go have some fun. Don't forget to thank Dr Ackerman over there, okay?"
She nodded and ran off. "Dr Ackerman!"
You stood up and smiled at Levi as he picked up Amber, then talked to her. You giggled when he blushed at her kissing his cheek. You frowned when Amber whispered to Levi and pointed at you. Levi nodded, then put her down and told her where to go.
You walked over and hummed. "What was that about?"
Levi pressed his finger to his lips. "Secret."
You hummed a laugh. "I am a bad influence on that girl."
"You're a great influence. Before you came, she was very negative and sad. You gave her the spark to continue and fight. I don't think my gift would have happened if it weren't for you being around." He kissed your cheek. "Thanks."
You blushed hard. "You're welcome." You watched Amber as she played with the others. You and Levi stayed close, had a drink together and even had lunch together. Eventually, the cake came out. You placed it in front of Amber and smiled. "Make a wish."
Amber hummed. "I wish for you and Dr Ackerman to get together as a couple and have lots of kids!"
You blushed and saw Levi was blushed. "Ah, well."
Amber blew the candles out, then smiled at you as the other kids and nurses laughed. "I made the wish so you have to make it come true!"
You smiled and ruffled her hair. "I think the brithday girl needs to eat cake."
You served the cake to the kids, then you and the other staff took the kids to bed when it was time. You cleaned the place from top to bottom, then you went to the nurse's office to do paperwork. You had it alone, because you were doing the nightshift yet again. You heard the door thinking it was another nurse.
Levi walked over to you and placed a slice of cake down on the table. "I managed to save cake for me and you."
You looked up and smiled. "Thank you."
Levi sat down and picked at his a little. "So, Amber's wish was interesting, right?"
You looked to Levi as you blushed. "Y-Yes. It was rather cute."
"What do your think." He gulped when you looked at him. "You know, me and you?"
You smile at him. "Well, I won't deny that I have feelings for you."
Levi got up, then walked over to you as he felt compelled to go for you. "Well, I have feelings for you, brat."
You stood up and gulped. "So, umm. I should go check on the kids."
Levi chased after you into the hall. He grabbed your wrist, then pulled you closer. "Brat, don't run from me."
You gasped as he cupped your face. "Levi. I really do like you. I'm scared that if we do we will get into trouble. You're an amazing doctor and you deserve the best."
"We won't get into trouble. We'll let HR know of our involvement, if you want to?"
You bit your lip, then nodded. "Yes, yes I want that."
Levi kissed you so softly, it was like he was worried you were going to break. He pulled back a little, then he kissed you again with a little more passion. He opened his mouth a little and pressed more into a sweet and loving half open mouthed kiss. He pulled you against him and hummed in pure happiness as he felt like the world made sense. You clung to Levi as you relaxed fully into this moment, into his arms and into the kiss.
You both heard a gasp of delight, then you turned your heads to see Amber holding her cuddly toy looking at the two of you. Amber jumped up and down. "My wish came true!"
Levi hugged you close. "Yeah, it did."
You smiled at Levi. "It really did." You looked to Amber. "You need bed little missy."
Levi let you go, then picked up Amber making her squeal with laughter. "Come on trouble. I know you're excited about being able to go home in two weeks, but you have to behave in that time."
She grinned as you followed. "Okay!"
Levi tucked her into bed, then pushed her hair back. "Goodnight Amber."
She yawed and snuggled with her toy. "Night."
You held Levi's hand and pulled him back. "Come on handsome."
Levi walked out the room and sighed. "Well, we've made her birthday perfect."
You kissed Levi making him blush. "We have. So, we're not working this weekend. How about we go away together?"
Levi smiled and thought about where he could take you. "Perfect idea."
