Calm down. “Because it is written down so” does not take our freedom to choose. Physical objects are moved by our everyday actions, even in ways we cannot expect. You are a writer of these movements. We all move the story. And there is one divine author who makes the conscious choice not to supersede any of our own wills on this beautiful tragedy. We change the world in human ways because we are human, but the world itself is, when it comes down to it, His. The world of an immutable God can be nothing else. I understand to a temporal mind this sounds like a paradox, but in another time you will accept it with faith.

I like the idea of immortals being jealous of those that have the chance to experience death.

I like the idea of immortals sacrificing their immortality for another.

I like the idea of immortals regretting suicide.

I like the idea of immortals finding a way to die without it.
