My self perception is quite distant from my headmates' description of me. They describe me as male and somewhat hideous. I am female and my form is striking. Yet they all share this strange view.

Perhaps i have undergone ecdysis without them noticing.

We have a few large empty tanks at the moment. Our physical pain however is relentless. No new projects today. A few biohazards to clean but the pain drives us to immobility.

Self description: 30s, female, (she/it/they) Humanoid upper body. Jointed antennae. Long black hair. Light brown skin. Large clouded circular glasses. Slight facial whiskers. Partially retractable spider mouth parts including chelicera, fangs, pedipalps, etc. White labcoat over a cropped turtleneck shirt. 3XL bra. Pointed fingertips. Below bust: hardened exoskeleton. Varies between humanoid, spiderlike (3-9ft in diameter depending on posture), and centipede-like (10+ ft length).

Goal: i experiment on our body for the purpose of improved welfare. I reduce environmental biohazard threat levels. I create stable enclosures for my precious creatures. I document experimental findings. Interested in communicating with other 'bug girls.'

Ina odonata is having a great time. It is literally fully relaxed in its enclosure. There are methods available for it to choose and consume food at will. It is properly medicated and receives frequent social contact with a variety of species.

gonna be real theres a frantic incoherent entomology guy in here somewhere whose been going by dr odonata and i think he's into gore in a cronenberg way. he pretty much only fronts when there is an uncontained biohazard. he is nice tho fr.
