Just a question

This one is a little bit sillier.

Raditz can always wonder but Dr Rine would rather burn in the four hells than present herself at work with her hair undone.

It's already quite a surprise that she even had a braid down in front of others than her closest friends, Berry and Nana. Berry came to fetch her just as the warriors were leaving, maybe this was why she was a little careless.

Her hair is very precious, a cultural symbole and a pride. It is not to be worn down or undone unless with the closest family or spouse. Dr Rine, having no close family left, decided it was acceptable that her best friends would classify as such. It was Berry, who's used to deal with multiple races and culture, that found that out. The two were so moved to discover that their emotionaly complicated friend considered them family, they threw her a special party. Rine thought she would hate it. But it was nothing more than a regular pyjama party. It's a very precious memory for them. There aren't a lot of truly happy things to celebrate around here when you've got no interest in spacial conquest.

I really like how many characters in Dragon Ball have long hair. Especially when it's warriors, it has to be a daily choice. Gohan is the only we ever hear complaining about long hair as a fighter. (I'll be posting this on AO3 soon but I might add a bit more before!)

tell us more abt rine??

Hi! Of course ! There’s a lot of info on Rine already out there, the Doctor has her own series :D On AO3 or on tumblr with the tag -9000

Dr Rine is a OC I created to explore the Cold/Frieza empire a bit. I think it’s a shame we don’t get to see a bit more of the nitty gritty details of how a space empire works! We get glimpses but I wanted more aliens! (Also it’s an excuse to draw Raditz cause I’m a big fan)

She’s an eminent doctor who works with different levels of warriors of the empire, mostly specialised one (like the saiyans and other special forces), to ensure their physical health is always perfect. A big part of her work is to improve protocoles and treatments. She played a big part in updating the liquids of healing tanks. Although she is big on following rules and protocols, when it comes to her personal research, Rine can get a little more… flexible. Going as far as to make her friends forge documents so she can study the mutating genes of certain species! (you guessed it her favourite subject is saiyans).

Please do ask more question about her, she’s so fun to work on!

Longing

Don't worry Doctor, they are coming back soon. For better or for worse.

Doctor Rine's secret research has sadly come to a halt. On her own little free time, she's been looking into species who transform. This might be the who reason she took the quite dangerous job in the first place. She gained access to a lot of strong warriors with power up transformation and her project is finding out what happens in their system. She hasn't yet thought of what purpose it could serve, honestly it's more about the scientific curiosity (she might or might not have obsessed over butterflies and catterpilar as a child).

And saiyans just have the best of the best transformations. Reptilian races are no strangers to transformation, after all they come out of so small eggs sometimes! Some do entirely remake their bodies, some shed them. And it is all fascinating but mammals transforming? Seven Hells.

Dr Rine is in such a state of distraught that her friends might find a way to keep the three men in training for a little while longer this time. It would be a shame if no mission suited their talents for a few months. Maybe Berry can find something to assign to them that won't require all of them to go. That would be neat.

Doctor Face

Dr Rine got her wish to work more closely with the three saiyan warriors. Some of them are easier to work with (it's Nappa, Nappa is easier to work with). They tend to be a bit restless when between missions but she's used to proud and unruly warriors. To her surprise though, the three men are actually quite disciplined.

She a very one track mind person and easily gets lost in the moment when working. She's working on it, there are some people you don't want to vex when alone in a medical room. Nappa's cool however, she might even have an extra snack or something for him.
