Ever since Jason has died, Tim has been patching up the goons that Batman beats, but it's getting worse. He went to Barbara instead of Dick, and she convinced him that they didn't need him. She was trying to convince Tim not to endanger himself, and she succeeded.
When Tim's aspiration, Robin, had died, and was told that he didn't need to do anything to help, he went to find a new aspiration. This is how he found out about Phantom in Amity Park.
Tim had moved closer to Amity after Jack Drake died. Taking Drake Industries with him to be closer to Amity and Phantom.
When he got to see Phantom in action, he was awestruck by the incredible teamwork he has with Red Huntress in how they handle the Ghosts that cause trouble.
This gs spiraled from there. Tim became a member of their duo, making them a Trio, he even got some martial arts lessons from Red Huntress, who learned from other Ghosts who don't cause trouble. Tim named himself Red Robin, to honor both his mentor and his first aspiration. The Justice League noticed them and seen how Phantom is a good leader (thanks to a Time Ghost) and had Superman go to recruit them into forming a new teen hero group. This is how they net and added Kon to their group.
As an official teen hero group, the four of them would be getting more work to be done, but Phantom, Red Huntress, or Red Robin would need to stick closer to Amity to handle any Ghosts that decide to cause trouble, and majority of the adult heroes not oart of JLD or have backgrounds related to mythologies would need to be convinced/trained to deal with Ghosts before any of then are deployed to help with Amity's troubles.
Danny, Tim, and Kon began to date each other after awhile, Valerie isn't affected, as she's dating Sam and Tucker. The three boys keep it professional when they're on a mission at least.
Tim has caught wind of someone back in Gotham attempting to figure out their identities, a certain blond named Bernard Dowd. Tim can admit that he find Bernard cute, and when Danny and Kon see pictures of Bernard, they agree with him.
They head to Gotham when they are sure there's nothing for them to do to see if Bernard is willing to join them in dating, as civilians first, then introduce their Hero sides.
