I hate Gerald Robotnik

If we are safe to assume Ivo’s cannon age is similar to Jim Carrey’s, then he’d be around 60 years old at the time of the 3rd movie. That being said, Maria’s death/when Gerald was arrested happened only 50 years ago, meaning Ivo was already 10 years old at that point. In a deleted scene from the second movie Ivo mentions he never met his mom implying he was orphaned as an infant therefore Gerald would have known right? Somebody would’ve told him about his child (Ivo’s parent) dying leaving behind their infant son. Their infant son who, by the way, is named after Gerald “Ivo Gerald Robotnik”. So How come he got custody over Maria but not Ivo? Why would he leave the last remaining piece of that side of his family to the state? I refuse to believe they didn’t like each other because again Ivo was name after his grandfather!! For 10 years Gerald let Ivo rot in an orphanage until he decided he needed him and that eats me alive every day.
