Week Thirty-Two: Dr. Teeth

Okay but Floyd definitely learned the hard way that Animal needed to be on a leash, and a chain one at that

I headcanon when Animal was still little, Floyd probably opened the door to go outside and Animal just ran out faster than he could catch him. He spent hours looking for his little guy, only to find him getting into someone's garbage.

After getting him back home (and scolding him like the worried dad he is) he probably tried a couple more times to walk Animal like a normal kid, but he'd keep getting distracted and running off.

One time Animal was gone for nearly the whole day. Floyd was worried he'd never find him, but when he did, it pained him to see that Animal looked scared and lost, running back to Floyd as soon as he was within his line of sight. He had gotten lost and was scared he'd never be found.

That was the day Floyd got him a backpack leash he had seen other parents use, and it worked while he was still small, but as he got bigger, the leash eventually snapped and he ran off again. Time to upgrade to something stronger.

He tried dog leashes made from thick fabric, rope, leather, etc., but Animal always snapped them.

Desperate, Floyd just grabbed a chain from the hardware store and that finally worked. He understood Animal wasn't trying to get away from him, he was just excitable and curious. But he had finally found a way to keep his kid safe and close.

Next challenge is to explain why his son is on a chain to his friend and co-parent, Dr Teeth

Heeeeyyyy just gonna casually break my silence with some Sesame/Muppet crossovers 🙈

I HC Louis and Floyd to be old Army friends. Louis was one of Floyd’s only friends from that time who stuck by him after everything went down and after his injury.

So whenever the band is in the city, Floyd and Animal make sure they go and see Elmo and Louis sometimes the rest of the Mayhem tag along too! Because let’s face it, they may be a rock band but I feel like all of the mayhem have a soft spot for the kiddos and would totally get on board with their imaginative games!

Also I think Teeth would just be the BEST girl dad so I had to draw him holding Abby who I think would love him and his crazy vocab 🙈❤️

Sorry for the silence yall, it wasn’t planned but I had a bit of a creative crash right before my holiday and then when I got back I’ve just been trying to get back into the swing of things! I very much intend on continuing my stories when my brain allows it so until then, have some wholesome muppet stuff 🙈❤️
