Lately I’ve been watching Scrubs (2001) while I work on SLH stuff, and JD constantly reminds me of Nurse Caine in a way….so instead of doing anything productive I did this

Not very happy with how the “go to hell Abel” one turned out but it was too fitting not to add in

Edit: This was supposed to say “flailing noises”, but you know what failing noises works too

Ok most of the post-breakdown SLH Ragatha doodles have been about her recovering but now I have not-very-fun-fact about it to share with you guys 🩷

I think that Dr. Abel’s opinion on Zooble has sort of improved bc of what they did in the buttons comic; he still thinks they’re annoyingly illogical, but ultimately a responsible employee that could have some potential. They just happen to have a little bit of a “human touch”, which he thinks they could stand to lose, but the patients like it, so oh well. Zooble has caught onto this and leans into it whenever they know Dr. Abel is watching so that he’ll trust them & leave them alone more…

I think that between her mother and Dr. Abel SLH!Ragatha has an extremely complicated relationship with authority…I know that’s probably not what this song is about but that’s how I’m choosing to use it ok

INCESSANT RAMBLING UNDER THE CUT!!!

This was my first time ever making an animatic! I really liked it tbh to the point I am slightly concerned…because I have found yet another thing I deeply enjoy to distract me from homework. I used CapCut to put it all together but I noticed that they pretty heavily advertised their AI features. I didn’t use any of that but if anyone knows of any similar, free, programs you can use to make animatics that don’t lean so hard into the AI thing pls let me know! :D I also think I might’ve messed up the pacing in some parts??? But I also might be looking at it too long and this was really just to learn how to make an animatic at all so :D

And yeah, that’s my best approximation of Dr. Abel’s “true form” ;-; I mostly used photos from Wikimedia Commons and Shutterstock to collage it together! I think that he has a really uncanny collage-like appearance, because he designed his own true appearance, and being an AI, he only had medical textbooks and the general knowledge that sometimes the design of the NPCs is “stylized”. He also is like, incomprehensible broken code, but that’s a bit hard to communicate visually…

and for those of you waiting on the Zooble and Caine comic I’M WORKING ON IT I PROMISE I just got a little distracted by this lil side quest…..
