Ashens: Easter Special 2013 March 30th, 2013 All hail THE GOOSE.
Ashens: Easter Tat Special April 6th, 2012 The first video ever to make Ashens legitimately ill!
Ashens: Whole Chicken in a Can November 9th, 2014 It's a whole chicken! In a big tin! It's probably even worse than you think!
Ashens: Poundland Food Special - All Day Breakfast August 25th, 2012 Apparently "all day breakfast" means "a tin full of gunk" these days. And if that's not enough to send your stomach fleeing to the nearest airport, I've also got some kind of microwave bolognese pot and a tiny steak & kidney pudding. And you don’t want to know what's for dessert!
Ashens: Christmas Tat 2 December 23rd, 2009 Worst Christmas ever. Again.
People Who Help Me Unknowingly
It may come as a shock, but sometimes I don't feel well. That is to say, sometimes I feel alone/sad/depressed/whatever and I need... something.
Sometimes I need a friend to call up and talk to. Sometimes I need to vent my frustration in a virtual world using lots of explosives. Sometimes I just need to listen to someone talk.
One form of self-therapy I have developed has stemmed from my interest in the "Let's Play" style of video game commentary. Aside from the natural benefits of humor, certain people who create these videos have a positive effect on my mood. Just listening to them talk generally makes me feel better. They are my unknowing helpers and I turn to their voices when I need to hear someone just talk endlessly.
From the wonderful non sequitur ramblings of Raocow to the strangely soothing tones of Frankomatic, there are people who I just enjoy listening to just to hear their voices and it almost doesn't matter what they're actually doing. Dr. Ashen, The Freelance Astronauts, the wonderful gents from Hat Films, and the ever amusing Jesse Cox all play a role as my unknowing helpers.
I wish I could give them all little plaques thanking them for years of entertainment and emotional support :)
'cept that would be a bit creepy XD
