Well! Continuing with the OC's I've shown to @rolkstone back in 2022-2025, when we were in Discord! Here's another member of Joel's gang, that I left in my sketchbook for too long, mainly because I didn't knew how to fit him in Joel's crew, but Art Fight gave me some ideas and well... I want you to meet Dr. Russell Hudson, the mob scientist of Capital City.
Dr. Russel is a very flamboyant man, he and Dr. Sebastian are like day and night. Unlike him, he does has a party-going streak. His main jobs at the mafia is manufacturating drugs, being the mechanic and sometimes manufacturating experimental weapons and guns for Joel and his guys.
Dr. Russel is autistic and doesn't have much friends and actively tries to have friends, but since he doesn't understand the social cues, he fails in making friends.
Dr. Russel doesn't have much friends beyond Dr. Sebastian, but due his fun-loving and loud personality, he hardly gets along with any of Joel's capos, with only Pitt, Gianluca and Alan talking with him (and sometimes Lucky), but many of the other guys think he's "too weird" for them and usually avoid him whenever they have the chance.
I have yet to design him later with his lab coat.
I hope you like him! I finally figured out how to make him work in the Capital City Mafia!
Have a wonderful day / night! Depending when you see this!
Desolate Paradise - Willing to Risk It All (Jacob & Dr. Hudson) - 6/7
Jacob and Dr. Hudson listen quietly to the girl’s heartbreaking story. “I just can’t take this anymore, I just want to get out of here!” She starts sobbing uncontrollably.
Jacob pats the girl’s shoulder, “Don’t worry kid, we will find a way of getting you out of here.”
Another perspective training exercise. I wanted to draw Jacob’s past self and just have fun with his past in this Au.
Who said you can't draw OC's from the users of Art Fight?
This interaction was 100% obligatory! I had to draw Dr. Russel and Stitches, the OC of the amazing @kurawelli! Here's his art fight and his Instagram if you want to follow him! This interaction is inspired after an attack, hence the air guitar, if you ask!
Dr. Russel and Stitches are both the outcasts of their own mafias and they're considered oddballs, but if the two ended interacting together they would get along nicely! I can see them having an odd friendship, since both are more silly than outright evil.
Although of course, the two have an inmoral streak, I mean, why else they would work in the mafia? Besides, I can see them being playmates together, even if Dr. Russel doesn't eat human meat, he still likes the thrill of operating people without anesthesic and doing 1000 of experiments each one more painful and unnecessary than the last one. I mean! They were made for each other!
Here you have a drawing of them! With Stitches playing metal and playing air guitars, while Dr. Russel watches happily! Maybe taking a break during another inmoral and unnecessary experiment on a poor unfortunate debtor.
Dr. Sebastian doesn't like this and he feels like the only one with a braincell in this room.
Stitches also gets along nicely with Gianluca from Capital City! In fact, they're best friends! One day I'll expand in their friendship!
I hope you like this!
Have a wodnerful day / night! Depending when you read this!

When Dr. McCoy slowly let go of her and gently pushed her away, Hudson feared the worst for a moment. She had told the truth and that would surely cost her her job and her now familiar life.
"I'm so sorry. I'm so incredibly sorry." Her voice was hoarse as she sobbed the words and shook her head. She had made the biggest mistake of her life back then. And she regretted it to this day.
When she had been allowed to work on the Enterprise, Marianne had been able to find hope again. It was only by working on this ship that she had managed to find her feet in life again. It was the only way she had become a stronger person again. It had changed her life for the better.
And now she was going to lose all that.
It took a moment before McCoy's features softened incredibly and he finally opened his mouth.
"No, Hudson. I'm sorry. I'm sorry you had to go through something like this. I'm sorry that your past has come back to haunt you again and in this way. If I had known ..." The doctor shook his head. "My God. I would have tried to keep it away from you."
He couldn't have known. After all, Marianne had never said anything. She had just ... wanted to forget. Of course, the captain had known about her past before he'd accepted her on board, but it was a classified file. Starfleet obviously didn't want too many people to know about Hudson and her fate either.
"No, Dr. McCoy. I was the best person for the job. It was right to include me in the work on the antidote. And ... it helps me. It helps me to know that my mistakes were at least somewhat corrected this way."
Hudson closed her eyes for a moment and took a deep breath before opening them again and continuing.
"But I do understand. I understand if you want me to leave. I ... was involved in a terrible crime. I'm a bad person who doesn't deserve to work under you."
There had been victims. Not an entire civilization, but dozens of prisoners on whom the Romulans had tested the poison. Dr. Marianne Hudson had been involved in those deaths. She was a murderer.
A hand rested on Hudson's shoulder and she dared to look directly into McCoy's face again. And in his gaze she found neither disgust nor hatred. She simply found compassion.
"You're not a bad person. You're one of the finest doctors and toxicologists I've ever had the pleasure of knowing. And I want you to continue to serve alongside me on this ship. With your help, we can save many lives. You are a valued colleague. And that won't ever change, Dr. Hudson."
Once again, McCoy wrapped his arms around Marianne and held her close, and once again she cried.
She loved this ship. She loved the crew. She loved her work. And she would make up for her mistakes. Every single day.

"Dr. Hudson? A word please."
When she heard her superior officer's voice, Hudson turned and looked at the door.
She had given the doctor the finished antidote half an hour ago and then retired to the lab to tidy up. Her stomach tightened when she saw the stern look on her counterpart's face.
"Dr. McCoy. What can I do for you? Is there a problem with the antidote?"
McCoy simply gestured for her to follow him and the doctor, who was only a few years younger than him, obeyed. She followed the chief medical officer into his office.
"Dr. McCoy?"
"I let you work in peace, Dr. Hudson, because we desperately needed the antidote. It worked very well. But," the doctor, who had stepped to his desk, turned around to look directly at Marianne, "now I'd like some answers."
Hudson's pulse began to race as she heard the words and she felt the tears threatening to come.
"How did you know so much about Romulan poison, Dr. Hudson?"
The question was like a slap in the face. Marianne felt a lump swell in her throat and she quickly tried to swallow it.
Memories flashed through her mind.
~
"It's ready. Excellent!" Kovari grinned broadly as she took the vial of poison in her hands and looked at the liquid inside.
Marianne lowered her head sadly. She was disappointed. Disappointed because no one had come to save her in time. And even more disappointed in herself. She shouldn't have done it. She should never have finished this poison.
But the still aching wounds all over her body reminded her why she had finally folded.
"Macey, you can't use it. You ... you can't let that–"
But Kovari ignored Hudson's plea. She turned and approached one of the guards who was making sure Marianne was working properly.
"Let's see if it works, then."
Hudson's eyes widened in horror as she watched Kovari inject the poison. The Romulan cried out and writhed in pain before lunging at the second guard in a rage.
A fierce fight broke out and Hudson simply closed her eyes. She knew what was going to happen. But she didn't want to see what the poison was doing. She didn't want to see what she was responsible for.
She thought of all the victims this poison would kill in cold blood. She thought of the worlds that could be destroyed with it. So many innocent lives ...
Marianne could only hope that she could be forgiven. Because one thing was clear. She would never forgive herself.
~
"Dr. Hudson." McCoy's voice snapped Marianne out of her thoughts and she looked at her superior, who was looking back at her sternly, arms crossed. "Did you understand my question?"
Hudson swallowed hard and nodded. With all her strength, she managed to get the following words past her lips.
"I ... know so much about the Romulan poison ... because I was the one who created it."
(Fourteenth story for Angstember 2024 by @ivystoryweaver)
She made progress with each passing minute, but the work was arduous. Hudson had never expected that she would ever need to create this antidote. The poison had been destroyed back then. There had only been a few samples and the doctor had also destroyed the PADD with the formulas. It should never have been created again.
But Marianne must have missed something. A small drop, perhaps. Or an ampoule that one of the Romulans had taken and hidden unnoticed before they were arrested. When she had been rescued from the Romulans' clutches, everything had gone haywire and Hudson had simply been glad to be freed from her captivity.
If only she had refused in the first place to work for those monsters ...
~
The cell Marianne had been locked in was cold and empty. She didn't know why they hadn't killed her like everyone else. She didn't understand why she had been taken away.
When the door opened and two Romulans entered the room, the young doctor shivered all over. She had huddled in a corner, filled with grief and fear.
She didn't even try to defend herself when the enemies threatened her with weapons and ordered her to stand up. Fearing for her life, she followed the men willlessly into a room that looked like a laboratory.
The person she saw there made her freeze.
"Macey."
It wasn't a Romulan she encountered in this lab, but a human. And a human she knew all too well.
The woman, who was a few years younger than Marianne, slowly took a step towards the prisoner and gave her a smile.
"That's not my name anymore. They call me Kovari, and I'm a confidant of the commander."
Hudson shook her head in disbelief. She didn't understand. This woman ... It was Macey. It was one of her fellow students from the academy! Her roommate! They had lived and studied together for years!
"Is this the human woman you asked for?" One of the Romulans roughly pushed Marianne a little further into the room and she had to do her best not to stumble.
"It is indeed. You've done a good job." Macey – no, Kovari – nodded to the Romulans before finally stepping up close to Marianne and placing a hand on her shoulder.
"When the commander told me about his plans, I immediately knew which doctor could help us. You were always the best in your classes. And thanks to a spy on board your ship, we were able to find you very quickly."
The smile on Kovari's lips sent a shiver down Hudson's spine and once again she just shook her head.
This couldn't be happening. Macey couldn't really be working for the Romulans!
"I heard how everything went down. I'm really sorry that so many of your crew members died. And I'm also sorry that a member of our landing party tried to shoot you and got poor Martin in the process. She will be punished for that."
At the mention of her fiancé's name, Marianne could no longer contain herself. Furious, she lunged at the woman she had once called her friend.
But her attack was unsuccessful, as the Romulans immediately grabbed her and pulled her back.
And Kovari? She just smiled as she wiped the blood from her burst lip.
"Oh, Marianne. You'll learn who you have to obey on board this ship. I'll see to that myself."
~
In time, Hudson learned the whole story of what had made Macey turn into Kovari. The young engineer had been captured shortly after starting her service and had been tortured and forced to work for the Romulans for many months. Her nature had changed. At some point she had realized that it was for her own good if she obeyed. She had become one of the commander's confidants.
And Hudson had often feared that the same thing would happen to her. But it never happened. And yet she committed atrocious acts during her captivity.
~
She worked in the lab day after day. If only she had been a little stronger, she might have been able to withstand the torture of her tormentors. If only she had been as brave and self-confident and strong as Martin.
But Marianne broke. She simply didn't know what to do other than follow orders.
She was expected to work with the Romulans to develop a highly dangerous poison. Kovari had personally recommended her former fellow cadet for the job, knowing that Hudson was one of the best doctors in the field of toxicology.
It was a poison that made the victims extremely aggressive. They became perfect weapons for a certain period of time, killing and destroying everything in their path before they themselves died in agonizing pain. A poison of this kind would be able to cause entire peoples to wipe each other out, so that the Romulans could use all the natural resources of the respective planets for themselves.
Marianne didn't want that. She didn't want to be part of these terrible plans, but in the end she caved in. However, she worked as slowly and manipulatively as she could.
Maybe, just maybe, she would be rescued in time before these nightmarish ideas could become reality.
