So, in the last episode of “Wednesday”, Tyler’s father listents to Dr. Kinbott’s recording about Tyler.
She says that whenever she tries to talk to him about his mother he suddenly becomes cold and detached as If she was talking to a completely different person!
I mean, even his therapist noticed (she said it) that he has some deep psychological issues.
So maybe our theory about him dealing with something like split personality or anything similiar that would cause extreme changes in behaviour is correct. That would make a very interesting redeemtion ark. Please writers, do Tyler justice and don’t sweep it under the rug.
larissa weems x morticia addams here, larissa weems x ms. thronhill there BUT larissa weems x Dr Kinbott?????
Queens of the Dead 😂🪩💃🏽💅🏽🧟
with our old pal Riki Lindhome (Dr. Valerie Kinbott), releases October 24th.
More Wednesday Anti-Canon
This is canon:
Pugsley: I never thought I'd miss being waterboarded so much.
Morticia: It's been torture for us too.
Gomez: Fortunately, my brother Fester's rack fits two people.
Morticia: Nothing like a good stretch to bring out the best in each other.
Gomez: Querida mía.
This is anti-canon, more deletion and re-writing of unpalatable things (bonus emotional stupidity of a non-stoic Wednesday in the first highlight):
Diluting or removing these lines saps the Weird™, the kooky and the spooky from The Addamses (but I suppose that's par for Mejia's course since that little Easter egg during Wednesday's and Tyler's exchange at the Harvest Festival was deleted too). Mejia's Addamses are people who just look funny and make the occasional slightly askew comment, which is probably the opposite of what they were trying to achieve; it's not necessarily how they look that makes them Weird™, it's what they all say and do. Wednesday herself is only slightly weird, because hey, she has cutesy inner thoughts* as well — don't all 16-year-old girls do? Her parents certainly can't be inappropriately graphic about their love lives in public because that'd make them too weird, right? Right.
We do not get a sense of the kind of twisted that the Addamses are from either that exchange or from m!Pugsley's "physically tortured" substitution. All of it is just too vague and subjective. For some people, tickling is physical torture. For others (like Wednesday), just having their hand held would be physical torture. We don't know what m!Pugsley considers to be torture, and because of socially conscious m!Wednesday, we don't know what kind of 'physical torture' she would impart on the little brother that she maimed others for bullying. Gone is the humorous imagery of NC Wednesday waterboarding NC Pugsley, which calls us back to the 1990's movies' equally dark and tough dynamic of Ricci's Wednesday and Workman's Pugsley.
I'm surprised the dude even bothered to keep Pugsley's potpourri eating in there (because you know, spectrum, pica, developmental delays, mental illness, all of those could surely cause Pugsley to be the victim of circumstances and thus his abnormal behavior shouldn't be exploited!11).
Bonus: of course the scene began with more of those third person POV vibes
We're supposed to be in Wednesday's head, FFS.
*It would more than likely be the opposite, given how much of her blackened soul she actually articulates. There are several areas in which she lies, but that behavior coupled with her willingness to commit assaults/attempted murder should tell you that there's much worse behind the sharply blunt statements and cold sarcasm, not a character who felt anything at all for any of the friendly weirdos around her until she started to lose them. She needed to go through some growth, however Fester's distracting presence still proved her to be stubbornly stuck on herself and proving herself right.
Lindhome shares her journey exclusively with PEOPLE after she welcomed a baby via surrogate and married Armisen in 2022.
It's...wow...what?
I know she's not a popular character, but I think we all need to take a step back and appreciate that Valerie was the one who created Family of Ferrets at a Clambake.
We also need to acknowledge that she and Wednesday shared this hobby, and that when Wednesday said that Viper was "chronically misunderstood", Valerie felt that in her whole chest.
I am so. Bereft. That Dr. Kinbott is dead in canon...because boy, she would fit in Afterburn 2 pretty well.
Oh my God LOL
