After months of rekindling their “special” friendship, Betsy and Mary finally share a kiss. After they leave each other, Betsy is so elated she runs home to tell Grandmama, consequences be damned. But once she arrives, she finds a letter and an nervous Grandmama. She knows that the letter must be important… so for the first time, she reads it, without Dr. Reed’s help! However, she quickly learns upon reading it (“Father never calls me Elizabeth unless it’s dire!”) she learns… her Father is DEAD!

Talking to Doctors || Nick & Dr. Reed

Nick came into the hospital to hopefully take his son home today. He was still angry & bitter about what happened with his sons. Matt being jumped because the soccer players on Cody's old team were upset his son was gay. They didn't know it was Matt they were jumping. Then they laid hands on his youngest child who at 9 was just trying to help her big brother. Add to it Jeff being gone & Cody wanting to kill everyone involved his nerves were shot. He went to the front desk, "Can you point me in the direction of Dr. Reed's office?" he asked & then set about finding it. Knocking on the door that said, "Dr. Reed's Office" he waited for the person who would explain how to care for his son.
