Narinder is friends or lovers with just about every unique NPC in my main save.

Except Sozonius.

The Lamb met Sozo, and for the first time in nearly 50 years had found someone who did not give a fuck they were a god.

Sozo would bow his head and give a little devotion, but that was it. He just saw The Lamb as a little fluffy mushroom friend.

He didn't treat them differently than any other equal, and that was really refreshing for The Lamb.

After preforming the brainwashing ritual, The Lamb suspected that there was more to Sozo that being a free-spirit with an obsession, but it never occured to them that his drug use would kill him. All these mushrooms did was make followers act a little silly, after all.

When Sozo OD'ed because of The Lamb's enabling actions, it hurt them more than they expected.

They orginally took the mushroom on his head to make a memorial to their friend, but then Sozo popped back out, right as rain (more or less).

The Lamb tried to deny Sozo mushrooms, but he found some in a garden plot and got his perma- high back anyway.

Two mushroomos cannibalized and a stint in the pillory later, and Dr. Sozonius was back, but Dr. Sozonius isn't the same as Sozo. The doctor has his head clear and his inhabitions still intact and viewed The Lamb with the proper reverence as a god.

Narinder witnessed all of this and holds a grudge.

They want to become the fandom equivalent of a shitty friend egging you to get off the wagon.

Dr. Sozonius/Sozo is probably my favorite from Cult of the Lamb; his origins and overall lore are very intriguing to me lol

I'm not crying, your crying. Stop crying okay, he is gone. Good Bye mushroom ant. Goodbye. Not me crying over Dr.Sozonius never seeing his family again and peacefully living out his days. Like man we all loved Sozo but man now poor guys just lost. Sob. Anyway, gotta get some practice on shading looking a bit off for this. More studying is needed. Loved Sozo but Dr. Sozonius needed his extra arms. Like he is a cute ant now.

I actually love Dr. Sozonius sm and it’s unfortunate that people think he’s boring. I don’t blame you if you think he’s boring. We don’t get that much interaction or dialogue from him. I really love for the idea of his character lol. Anyway I had to finally draw him and of course I had to add his emotional support backpack lol. Now if you’ll excuse me I’m gonna go see how much stylization I want to apply to this old man in the future.
