Mr. Freeze Could Be Used As An Example Of How Black Hat Organization Turned Him From A D-List Joke To A Lister
You know which Batman villain would be a great example of how Black Hat Organization can improve a villain look no further than Mr. Freeze.
Before he was actually Mr. Freeze, he was Dr. Zero and a gimmicky iced theme rogue who like his later iteration had cryogenic chemicals spilled on him so he could only survive in cold areas. Sure, that is a tragic condition but he was mostly played as this card carrying gimmick villain you would see during the Silver Age. He actually was given the name Mr. Freeze on the Batman tv show where he appeared three times, but each time a different actor ( George Sanders, Otto Preminger and Eli Wallach) played him. Other than that he wasn't used at all after the Silver Age, but something changed all that. Something called...
The critically acclaimed Batman: The Animated Series gave this character new life by giving him a more tragic backstory and giving him his name, Victor Fries. This revamped episode changed everything that was Dr. Freeze's character and giving us one of the most heartbreaking villains in the rogues gallery. This got our boy changed from a forgotten D-List villain to A-List. This backstory and name was so iconic that eventually it got into the comics which remains to this day.
And this rise from D-List to A-List is going to be touted as an example of how Black Hat Organization helped make Dr. Fries into the big namer he is today. He would say that with the right funding, smarts, and everything a villain can become a big leaguer.
