Play forever (Steve cobs AU)

this is a little au i'm working on for Steve cobs! based off weirdcore/dreamcore

this is cobs, the first one is him before anything happens, second is him during the main event, and the last is him after everything happened! the main plot is that cobs stayed at his office really late and was heading down the elevator. when all of a sudden the elevator falls and crashes to the first floor. cobs stood up surprised he wasn't hurt. the elevator doors opened to reveal an area not apart of the building, some playground. and cobs ends up trapped in this liminal space of never ending playgrounds and play areas.

he ends up meeting two people (their are others but these two are the most important) the yellow balloon is named philip and goes by he/it. the blue lollipop is named Mackenzie and goes by they/them. Mackenzie tries to warn cobs about this place and tries their best to help cobs find his child thing. which in this case is something that had kept his childhood alive as long as it was. Philip instead wants Steve cobs to embrace the playgrounds and have fun with him and the rest. Makenzie after a few weeks explained the true horror of this place. as the longer as an object stays here, the more childish they become. and it seems that they lose all sense of who they are.

Philip wants to trap all in here for his own benefit as to feast upon their "joy" . after cobs finally finds his child thing, which was his first ever working invention, he wakes up in hospital bed. turns out the elevator did fall and he was in a coma. he had the same accessories that he attracted in his coma, which was from Dr.fizz and Ballpoint pen who visited him every week. though there was one clear thing, Steves cobs inner child was somewhat back from this, it wasn't completely healed, and not truly comfortable being known yet, but Steve cobs now has a new perspective on life. :)
