New Amsterdam just loves to leave us hanging after that amazing episode. It’s worth the wait though! 

I’m left so hyped after all that has happened and mentioned. My heart practically shattered with Helen’s attachment toward to the baby. The dean’s retirement, Dr. Reynold’s discovery on Dr. Bloom’s vacation and Dr. Kapoor’s interactive actions with Dr. Bloom’s substitute for the Em Dept. I didn’t catch her name (if anyone can?) but even with Dr. Bloom’s return I look forward to seeing  her around more often.

This new episode was a thriller. There wasn’t a moment, that didn’t have me leaning on my seat. 

I was a sentimental mess, when Georgia started remembering how she met Max and their developing relationship. It beautiful as well as heartbreaking. Following up the moment before he woke, the whole concept of talking to his sister and it was lovely. Then Georgia proceeding to state that Max will continue with the hospital and how being a doctor is his vocation.  ( It doesn’t make sense, but I got emotional.)

Then we have the rest of the crew, the way they processed the whole event and finding out that Max had cancer. For a moment, I felt that things were going to regress to the prior state. But I shouldn’t have doubted especially when Sharpe was the first to walk out and get in contact to help aid max. She has it all together, well she tries too. 

 Stepping out for a moment on this hasty written, overly excited post. Helen Sharpe is rapidly becoming my favorite with Max and their bromance head to head along with Georgia. Anyone else believed she might have made a great director that would follow to almost Max’s ideals? 

Alright, back to the crew. For a moment, I was full on doubt. But then the everything turned around. They risked it all, knowing that Max despite everything wanted to help and even if it was a dying man’s wish ( Iggy) his presence changed them and encouraged them. They didn’t want to go back, they have a chance to make a difference. 

I don’t know about you, but this episode has me so hype  I might rewatch it again once it’s posted.

I finally sat down and saw last week’s episode. Just a few  hours prior to the new episode that’s going to air. And i’m Hyped!!!! 

Like previous episodes, last’s week episode was full of events all that feel instant and fast paced but easy to follow. Dr. Bloom, Dr.Iggy and Dr.Kapoor were the main cast for this episode or so it feels from my pov. Of course Max was there following up with his own project and inspiration, but there was more of a focus on these 3. ( Or so i feel)

Last week we finally come down to the intervention of Dr. Bloom. It was something we all saw coming and looked forward to how it will go. When it came down it it, the intervention was private and personal. There was no big fanfair, only a couple of people knew what was going on except Dr. Bloom. Which without a doubt blinded sided her. Then there’s to comment on Dr. Iggy who was the one overseeing her progress. Which he successfully kept his professionalism as much as he could. Yet, without a doubt there was something heartfelt on caring over Dr.Bloom and if she was emotional, mentally and physically in a good state to be caring for patients.

Still, it’s much to say that it wasn’t about Dr.Iggy. Yet, he was still strongly felt when he listened to Dr. Bloom’s story and denial and tried to work through Dr.Bloom’s problems and fears. Which we learned through her history. And for a moment we thought that all was well, when it wasn’t and if things were going to end there for that moment. It didn’t, and we were relieved. There wasn’t any sudden break through for Lauren, only a hand of help.  I guess it might be a while before we see Dr. Bloom again, but we might hear of her?

For all the anticipation for Dr.Bloom’s  intervention, my gaze seem to follow Dr.Kapoor’s trainwreck. Much Like Lauren Bloom’s addiction, Dr. Kapoor’s familial problem has been building up for quite a while. Much longer than we thought, looking back many episodes back when Dr.Iggy didn’t even know Dr. Kapoor had a son. (Showcasing the bad relationship and a newly formed one )Yet, thoughout the show Dr.Kapoor has been trying to mend bridges with his estranged son and a for a while it seems to be working. It is until it isn’t.  Bitterness ensues between son and father with misunderstandings and hurt feelings. It’s almost cringe worthy because we see Dr.Kapoor making all these mistakes but knowing how sincere he is with his intentions The thing is he  often over thinks and over analyzes his thoughts and actions. That ending scene with Dr. Kapoor in tears and emotionally exhausted iggy had my heart breaking just slightly. Both had a rough day if only in a different way. 

Going Back with Lauren for a moment, that first exit from Iggy’s office and that moment between Sharpe and her just wow. That concern gaze and Dr. Bloom who is blanking out. Just...

Then we have Max, we don’t so much as see his continued Cancer treatments but more of his continued interaction within the hospital. Often to make it better and a happier environment. Just like these instance with his effort to include every employee in the feeling of being part of the hospital. It’s heartwarming. 

Cutting it close with the new episode, but i am excited from the previews!!!

Helen Sharpe receiving that offer made me so happy. She’s been doing her best to help everyone in the hospital that in a way she has taken some of the load off Max. I feel that Max knew that and trusts Helen Immensely. 

It made me, even Happier that Helen turned it down.Helen Recognizes that she has other commitments and other roles she has under her belt and can’t in good conscious agree to it. Until she did, because Max Needed her. Well that made me happy. Still, in a way I do see Helen Sharpe maybe taking over in the foreseeable future and in no way I don’t see her not doing her best. She’s just amazing

Dr. Floyd own that interview. Did you see the journalist expression? Like Dr. Floyd did not flinch. 

Max Goodwin, has a new sidekick and his name is Earl and I believe that despite trying his best he is still coming to terms with his chemo. 

I was happy with Alan, who might love the hospital as much as max.

Catching up to New Amsterdam!!!!

And it keeps me so hyped. Like so much is going on and I can’t deal.
