Green and Purple
"Can you believe it? We have well-paid jobs, a home of our own in a town where we aren't wanted, and now we have—"
2. Too Close
"Geralt, I've found something. Look, isn't it a darling baby?" Jaskier beams at the Witcher from where he is kneeling next to a bush on the edge of the forest.
3. I hate sex pollen
Regis smells it the second Geralt and he set foot in the glade at the rear of their company. He crinkles his nose. The Witcher sneezes violently.
4. How lucky we're quadrupeds
"Hee-haw, isn't it funny how foolish people can be?" Draakul gives an amused snort. "Just look at them!"
5. 'Toad' or 'A Very Unusual Pet'
Fuck, when will this tedious climbing over slippery rocks and around treacherous tide pools in the dark finally end? Yennefer is already so fed up with it that she inwardly curses her decision to not climb up the cliff but take the long way around to Garstang and the bridge that will, hopefully, bring the two fugitives to Gors Velen. Where to go from there and what to do, she has not the slightest idea yet despite having pondered the question again and again during the long and boring hours of hiding in the cave. Perhaps she shouldn't have antagonised the Brotherhood of Sorcerers and all the kings and queens of the North in such a dramatic fashion? She could have executed the Nilfgaardian and stayed safely at Aretuza until she found a way to regain her chaos. Or she could have revealed to everyone that she is not a danger because she is not a sorceress anymore. For without her magic, she can hardly call herself that, can she now?
6. "Ferns Don't Flower"
Finally, darkness has fallen on this shortest night of the year. Litha, the night of the summer solstice, a mythical night of celebration and magic. The villagers have lit the bonfires, and music and singing invites to dance and make merry. Soon, couples will jump the fire together, a good omen for their relationship if they succeed.
7. Rittersporn and Rosehips
"Geralt, did you hear what this peasant with the strange accent said back in the village?" Jaskier looks at his Witcher friend questioningly. "I've been called all kinds of names, Crimson Avenger, Nightingale Prince, the Sandpiper, Dandelion. But do you have any idea why the man called me Ritterspoon? Or was it Rittersporn?"
8. What the Blub?
He bends down and first splashes his sweaty, hot face with the pleasantly cool well water. Then Jaskier takes several long gulps. Very refreshing! He drinks another big swallow.
9. A Black Cat for the Black Knight
"Yennefer?" He gets up from where he must have dozed off, leaning against the trunk of an old oak tree. The sun has not yet disappeared behind the tree tops, so he cannot have slept for long. But where is the sorceress? Cahir gazes around the clearing. Yennefer was drinking from the well and wanted to rest for a few minutes before continuing on their way to Gors Velen. Has she left without him?
10. hiraeth
"So, what about this tattoo?" she asks, letting the tip of her index finger glide along the black ink marks on Cahir's thigh, a little above his knee. "Is it letters? A word?"
