Just Mare singing for the bar but his eyes travel to Mad and suddenly he can only see him
yes. just yes. absolutely.
Mare loves to sing. The stage is his domain and he is very good at controlling it. He knows he mesmerizes other people, knows he has them hooked on every word he says. This being said there is only one person he wants hooked on his every word.
He looks for his human in the crowd. Mad had been busy in the lab, so Mare wasn't sure if he'd made the performance that night. He checks the doors first, never missing a note, then the bar where Michelle and Unus are working. He doesn't see Mad, to his expectant disappointment, so he slides his eyes to his brother's table in the back of the bar. He sees his brother in red and black, tapping his fingers on his cane as he watches the bar patrons.
Then he sees Mad. Mad is watching him with the same adoring look that he always does. He looks entirely love struck, eyes wide and face slack with awe.
Mare grins, winking at the lovesick scientist. He watches the flush travel from his cheeks to his ears and down his neck. Mare grins, continuing to sing, but directly to his lover.
Mad is the one person who would hang off his every word, siren voice or not. It's not until later, after the show, that Mare realizes Mad was the only person he had been able to see.
