Open Call

Not having much luck, so I figure I'd try here, too!

Looking for a couple of folks who are interested in reading a fic and offering feedback. Nothing too strident. Just a quick check to make sure that I didn't have any obvious plot holes or irritating dangling threads.

I'm very broke, so all I can offer is my undying gratitude and maybe a fanfic or two if I know the fandom. Free copies of the published work for sure.

One is called The Rule of Three, it's sfw, polyromance, monster romance, m/m/f, bit of humor, Urban Fantasy. Main character is Mothman Whit who gets it in his mind that his two best friends, Cora (an Oni) and Thom (a human) are in love but are too scared to take the plunge, so he's going to help them get together. If you've read the TF version I wrote, you might like this. It's a novel, about 334 pages, and there's no real turnaround time, though I'd like to get it published before January 2026.

The other one doesn't have a title yet, but it's a short story, about 8.5k, Fantasy, wlw, a smutty piece between a monstery mermaid and a princess who loves to spearfish. It's the first meeting of the wlw romance mentioned in The Crowning Touch, if anyone's familiar with that. It's got a quick turnaround time since I need to submit by the end of April.

“Oh no, this looks bad,” Draco spoke as he looked up from his papers when he heard the other walk into his office. “Come on it, let me take a look at you,” he mused and motioned for them to get in. “What did you do?”

As It Goes || Draco & Ginny

So far it had been good. For once life had decided to simply allow him to live peacefully enough. And though he still had recurring nightmares not to mention negative thoughts and sometimes so depressing days that he could barely move, Draco somehow managed to push himself. It would seem his pride came in handy because it certainly didn’t allow him to sit around and do nothing. Besides he had a new flat he had to fix and buy furniture for.

It had taken nearly a month and a little getting used to but Draco had finally settled into his new home and it did get somewhat quite at times, he didn’t mind much. He spent most of his waking hours reading various books that he had packed to take with him, often visiting the library in Diagon Alley to get new books. And he had kept his distance from one certain female red head. As much distance as he could get since she came to his flat nearly every day.

True to his word he had helped her in finding a flat and had helped her settle in. Sometimes he would regret the promise he had made of not having sex with her because he had had more then one reason to pin her against the closest flat surface and kiss her senseless. But then there were times he would regret having promised not to disappear from her life because it was damn hard holding himself back. Somehow he had gotten addicted to her, and it certainly didn’t help his control.

Draco was sitting in his flat when he received a letter from his mother, telling him she would be visiting tomorrow. He had allowed a small smile to pull at his lips at that. At least he had something other then Weasley dropping in to look forward to.

Sorry, guys. I'm not in a great headspace right now, so I'm not sure when those flash fic fills will be finished and posting. I have pretty much all of them started to some degree, but my creative energy just up and dissipated and the rest of me isn't doing that well either.

Hopefully, this is just a phase that'll pass soon.

By Laser-Guided Amnesia, I'm assuming you mean some kind of mnemosurgery. lol

So yes! I have THREE. And all of them Transformers. I don't think I have any amnesia fic that's non-TF.

I"m currently stuck in this horrendous cycle of

get sick

get better from sickness

take three times as long to get back to normal baseline

have a week of feeling healthy and having energy

get sick

Which is making it incredibly hard to write, edit, post, engage, do basically anything outside of read and zone out on video games. I have so much I want to create, post, DO, but alas, my physical body is weak.

While he knew - more or less - where Harry’s head was when it came to them, Draco still couldn’t help but feel slightly anxious when he told him he was meeting Ginny. Of course they were meeting - after all, they’d been married for thirty years and there was a lot they needed to handle. He was glad that work was distracting enough, so by the time his shift at the hospital is over, that thought was buried deep at the back of his head. After work Draco made his way to the store before heading straight to Harry’s. “I did your grocery shopping,” he spoke when the other man opened the door and held out a bag with a couple bottles of wine in it. “I saw you were out.”  @h-pctter​
