being passive-aggressive to admins seems to be a current wave that is really not cool? if you have an issue, please bring it up instead of making comments in the tags of your posts or in the discord server or things like that.

having surveys for players to discuss things is a tool that a lot of admins don’t use. they can be anonymous or not, but getting your feelers out there to see what’s going on and what players are thinking is a good way to understand where they’re coming from on certain topics or issues.

okay, so i might be alone on this one but when did people stop doing au events??? they’re so fun! and obviously, they’re not for everyone but it gives you, the player, an opportunity to try something fun and new!

Her mother has become a shell of herself lately.

Though to say lately would be an understatement; a more accurate statement would date back years. She still smiles sometimes, but it is lost and dreamy, the same dreamlike quality echoing in her eyes, as if she is stuck in a haze she cannot pull herself out of. But sometimes, Angelie can hear her mother crying, see her rummaging through drawers for things that do not exist. Things that might have existed in another place, another time.

(Never in this place.)

But since her mother pretends everything is fine, so does Angelie. On paper, she is perfect: good grades, cooperative attitude, bubbly and kind and eager to improve. Everything is fine in their household, you see, and it is not as if her mother is falling apart at the seams, as if her brother is beginning to shows of rebellion, as if Angelie is beginning to ask questions. (Her mother never really answers them.)

These days, Angelie takes care of her mother more than she does them, but she supposes she’s independent enough by now. Besides, hasn’t her mother done enough for her and her brother? She’s heard of stories of how she struggled in the beginning, how she raised the two of them by herself, how she kept them safe from harm, how she will always keep them safe. Angelie does not know her father, nor does she care to. A man who would callously leave her mother is not a man she wants to meet.

Safety seems to be important to her mother. She says this place is a sanctuary, and truthfully, Angelie does not know any better. She has never left this place, after all, not since she moved when she was five. She hears the rumors and the whispers, how you can never leave, how people try to leave and come back different.

“Why would anyone want to leave?” she asks one day.“I don’t know,” her mother answers. “Anyway, do you still need new sheets?”
