there are a total of twelve, yes twelve mclaggens. the six out of the seven pictured above share one mother, who died when the youngest of the kids were three. the one older than violet is a cousin they were forced to take in at a young age. the five not pictured are hogwarts age and younger, come from a second wife. no division tho they’re all bros.
papa mclaggen is really high up in the ministry. idk what he’s doing so if one of y’all wanna figure that out and lmk. but there more or less all ministry oriented, a politically well revered family and have been for decades.

because there’s a lot of them they don’t all see each other often, but there’s annual family gatherings four times a year and it’s absolutely scandalous if anyone backs out for any reason.
angus is estranged from his wife but he’s got a kid ( cormac jr, he lost a bet, boom boom pow ). cormac’s married. in laws come to family gatherings. it’s a WHOLE thing.
the youngest two are twins and they’re ANNOYING and tag team against the rest of the family.

they’re really judgemental but act like they’re not but they can communicate with each other with side eyes like i cannot believe he’s gonna show up to OUR house wearing that

all very close but the house was definitely chaotic growing up so a sense of independence is very much phew wanted and needed
