The Vampire Experiment

Summary: Stefan wants to have an experimental flight with Peter.

The night sky was clear and the moon showed off her spectacular glow, it was a perfect night to take flight. Peter scooped Stefan in his arms, spread out his dragon-like wings, and took off from the rooftop. The cold wind didn’t bother Stefan at all, in fact he loves it. He loves to look down at the tiny buildings and trees that they passed by, he felt so alive and free.

“Can we do an experimental flight run for science’s sake and to satiate my curiosity?” Stefan asked finally breaking the night’s silence. “Depends, what are you testing?” Peter tucked his wings in and gravity pulled them towards the ground. 5...4...3...2... he counted silently in his head then whoosh! He spread his wings again right before they hit the ground. “I want to know how far you can go, how fast, the length of your wings, and how fast you can fly at different variable.”

Something inside of Peter kicked in and he dropped Stefan at least two-thousand feet in the air. He was screaming as he started to plummet through the sky. Then at break-neck speed, Peter caught Stefan. He wasn’t shaking and thank god for that; however, he was clinging hard to Peter’s chest. “There, we did one experiment of how fast I can catch you falling. I hope you clocked that, professor.” He said snarkily looking down at him with an entertained look in his eyes.

“Sadly I couldn’t pay attention to the time since I was too busy screaming when you dropped me at two-thousand feet in the air without warning! You looked like you enjoyed seeing me fall too.” Peter frowned, he never meant to put Stefan’s life in danger; immortal or not, he loves Stefan more than life itself. If he somehow dies, Peter would never forgive himself. He went back down to land on a nearby roof did I ruin this flight experience with Stefan? He thought to himself but then Stefan asked “can we keep flying for a little bit longer? I still want to enjoy this flight.”

“You...actually enjoy this flight?” Peter was dumbfounded, did Stefan’s fall somehow mess up his brain? “Yes I actually did! Sure it was horrifying and I actually thought that I was going to die. But in the end, you saved my immortal life! So please, can we share one more flight?” Peter placed a kiss on Stefan’s forehead “Yes.”
