I'm so happy that one day I randomly looked up dracula on tumblr... I didn't think I'd find much, probably gif of the vintage film or maybe a nerd or two talking about the book. Maybe?
Instead, I found a beautiful audio adaption of my favorite novel. I found a community of people who are ranting about the same stuff I've been ranting about for years! And even with my ranting, usually the people listening to me go off thought I was nuts, or would say things like, "The Bram Stokers Dracula movie was pretty good"... *sigh*
Thank you, my good friends. I feel so much less alone. Now I'm off to reblog Lizard fashion meme and tributes to Quincy Morris.
"Then he took my hand in his, and oh, Lucy, it was the first time he took his wife's hand, and said that it was the dearest thing in all the wide world, and that he would go through all the past again to win it, if need be. The poor dear meant to have said a part of the past, but he cannot think of time yet, and I shall not wonder if at first he mixes up not only the month, but the year.
Well, my dear, what could I say? I could only tell him that I was the happiest woman in all the wide world, and that I had nothing to give him except myself, my life, and my trust, and that with these went my love and duty for all the days of my life. And, my dear, when he kissed me, and drew me to him with his poor weak hands, it was like a very solemn pledge between us...."
THIS is romance, my friends

i will never be normal about these lines
To one thing I have made up my mind: if we find out that Mina must be a vampire in the end, then she shall not go into that unknown and terrible land alone. I suppose it is thus that in old times one vampire meant many; just as their hideous bodies could only rest in sacred earth, so the holiest love was the recruiting sergeant for their ghastly ranks.
«No man knows till he has suffered from the night how sweet and dear to his heart and eye the morning can be»
