MELISSA BENOIST as KARA DANVERS & KATIE MCGRATH as LENA LUTHOR || Supergirl (2015-2021) + Absolutely insane acting choices
steve and soda constantly bicker over whether red flavor is better than blue flavor or not. sodaās insistent it is because there are so many kinds of red flavors and blue flavor gets bland and steve argues that thatās the whole point. and that it should be one flavor because that one flavor is objectively better than however many different red flavors there are.
(and yes they still call them red flavor and blue flavor and not ācherry/strawberry/watermelonā or āblue raspberryā. what of it.)
The concept of Oscar thinking he was friends with everyone just for them to treat him poorly
Ms Piastri stays breaking my heart with all the lore she drops about his karting days. Idc if heās a grown man, Iām putting him in my pocket with a little toy race car and heās staying with me forever.
"Im not a violent dog, idk why i bite:(" girl not only are you violent you might as well have rabies atp
One of the reasons Iām scaling down my use of social media is because of the exhausting doubletalk, the no-win positioning, and the lack of self-awareness that seem baked into so much of the rhetoric. Youāll see people post things like āAre you doing enough of XYZ?ā which immediately frames everyone as potentially negligent or morally insufficient and then turn around with āYou people really need to stop thinking about yourselves so much,ā as if the very act of self-scrutiny they just demanded has now become another sin.
What wears me out isnāt just the hypocrisy, but the trap it creates. This kind of discourse is less about encouraging genuine thought or responsibility, and more about manufacturing a permanent tension. It sets up an impossible game where youāre wrong if you do and wrong if you donāt. Strive harder, and youāre self-absorbed. Donāt strive, and youāre careless or complicit. Thereās no path to grace, no point of balanceājust shifting goalposts that keep everyone chasing approval while never quite being able to āwin.ā
Oh my god I remember writing this and then not a week later I read Chaos Theory and was finally swayed, like "Jesus Christ... they actually love each other"
