Names to Know for The #Cowboys ✭ on Day 2 and 3 of the draft Ifeatu Melifonwu, CB/S, Syracuse- Smooth athlete with fluid hips, 6’3 200 lbs, big time ball skills, great in press coverage, physical at the line of scrimmage, not great at run support and needs some coaching, but I like him a lot on Day 2 Alim Mcniell, DT, NC State- Explosive athlete at 6’2 315 lbs, good lateral quickness so he can play in a 1 or 2 gap scheme, block shedding ability is great as well as playing the double team, another guy who needs some coaching, but could be scary good if he gets it. Would love to see him available on Day 2. Baron Browning, LB, Ohio State- 6’3 248 😬. Big time athlete who can just flat out play football. Covers well, hits like a mack truck, wraps up extremely well in the run game, gets off blocks, plugs gaps, the list goes on. Anticipation can use a lot of work. Coaching and commitment to film should help that. But he reads the play very well as it’s happening and makes a lot of splash plays. Can play inside or outside backer. Truly special talent that should be there on Day 2 or possibly even slip to Day 3 Caden Sterns, S, Texas- built well at 6’0 210. Smooth athleticism, plays man and zone very well, what’s more impressive is his instincts, he’s able to diagnose plays happening in front of him quickly and seems to always be in the right spot. The perfect blend of playing aggressive and playing smart. I’d like to see him be more willing in run support, but he has a chance to be the best safety in this class and you might be able to get him on late Day 2 or early Day 3. #howboutthemcowboys #nfldraft #draft #draftprospect #cowboysnation #LFG https://www.instagram.com/p/CKHfMtfFcbq/?igshid=nnet8ljcok0v
