Ahhh, The Changing Of The Bedclothes! Such a beloved activity of the Realm! Faithful Servant Angeal makes sure this event proceeds on schedule once a week! His Royal Highness is there to supervise, of course, and to lend a hindering helping claw.
He sometime gets bundled up in the sheets by accident on purpose if it's Genesis, because he's running around batting at the loose ends and pouncing on the billowing parts. In his mind, he's just helping to bundle everything in the middle of the bed to make it easier to carry! Luckily he squeaks and hisses loud enough for someone to hear him, and he is realeased from this fabric prison. Angeal always shakes out the bedding just to be sure he's not trapped, because Genesis likes to ignore his calls for help.
Only His Highness knows that the proper way to put sheets on the bed is from underneath them! His loyal subjects just do not seem to understand this, so he has to show how to do it every single time. First, he tunnels under, running back and forth across the bed. This allows for proper airflow, and helps ensure that the sheets get spread evenly across the surface of the mattress. Plus, you never know if there is a snack hidden under there somewhere.
Next he works on the corners, batting them back and forth and bap, bap, bapping them until they lay flat (or a little bit bunched because it makes it easier to lift when climbing in bed). Sometimes the corner must be snatched out of a subject's hand because they just keep trying to tuck it down too tight!
After corners are handled, it's time to dive under the comforter as it's being flapped over the bed. It's a little heavy, so tunneling is difficult. He gets trapped and has to have someone come rescue him. Once he' s free, the next step to fluff the comforter! Skittering back and forth, and bouncing around generally do the trick.
Angeal waits until he leaves to fix everything, becuase he doesn't want to hurt his babey's feelings. Zack just fixes it as he goes, distracting the tiny dragon with toys and snacks. Sephiroth leaves the bed as it is because the precious boy worked so hard help and he's not going to waste his efforts! Genesis is a butt and keeps removing him from the room, and then ends up mad because Big Boi Cloud goes in and 'corrects' his horribly made bed, turning in circles, wadding it up, and making a proper nest in the middle because where does this ill mannered peaseant get the audacity!
