Magicmobboss!Hiro: Tadashi does a really good job of ignoring what and how his brother gets things he needs for experiments, but he makes sure everyone knows extra volatile ingredients - no matter how hard to obtain- will be destroyed on sight
The blood deal in that AU was, basically, 'let's be honorary siblings and also protect each other'. Hiro could also do the thing if his actual family was in danger. Also, Yama's been running an anti-SN mafia for a while, with one of the members actually being the mayor. (Also. Honey Lemon's favourite shift is basically a furry. She likes it because she has hands and an insanely sensitive sense of smell. ) I was also thinking depressed Hiro, who's on antidepressants which make mind control hard.
What if Hiro's explanation of the whole 'i accidentally a mafia boss' thing happened at the same time as Wasabi's first meeting with Tadashi? Tadashi'd just be looking for Hiro, because he's somewhere where both mafias are known to do a lot of stuff, and there's Hiro and this HUGE CENTAUR. And when he runs towards Hiro the huge centaur threatens him. And then Hiro's like 'Wasabi, calm down, this is my brother, Tadashi. Tadashi, this is Wasabi. ' And Wasabi's like 'Sorry Little Boss. ' Awkward.
Kumiho and huli jing are probably two races of a subspecies of multi-tailed fox-shapeshifters, with kitsune as the other subspecies. Kitsune start with up to three tails and a few tail buds, and grow more tails as they age; kumiho and huli jing start with a minimum of two tails and cannot grow any more.
Somehow I think that Don Hiro from that mafia AU would have Counting Stars as a theme song.
Tadashi takes away the ingredients. Honey Lemon just sneaks Hiro more. It’s driving nuts because he can’t figure out where Hiro keeps getting the stuff from, but he never suspects Honey Lemon because she’s just so nice. Hiro and Honey Lemon highfive behind his back.
Yama has been basically the power behind the leaders of SF for years, so when a new group of supernatural people kind of spring up into their own little mafia mob group thing, he thinks he’s prepared. He’s been waiting for this day, he has all of his plots in place. He knows the fastest way to deal with the rising threat is to cut off the head, so he makes plans to assassinate the new mob boss.
Aaaand then he finds out it’s a little kid, and he’s so baffled he completely drops the ball. The supernatural folk manage to catch on to his plan, and gleefully start tearing his carefully laid plans apart because he made a mistake and now they know who to watch out for. Hiro just sits back and laughs because it serves Yama right for underestimating him.
Yeah, I imagine Tadashi was kind of freaked by the whole ‘mafia boss’ thing at first. But then he actually MET the group, and realized that Hiro now had a big bulky centaur, a werewolf, a Kumiho, and a freaking DRAGON looking out for him, and he kind of relaxes a bit. He can’t stop Hiro from getting into crazy hijinks, but at least now he knows his little brother will be well protected
