Despite the fact I lack the Reignited Trilogy still yet, I’m seeing too many people do their Spyroverse dragons and I want to, too! ;w; 

So this is me exploring what Spyroverse Dragon!Zen might look like!  Got that long soba-noodle body; gotta have that flow if one’s deal is aquascaping! She has chin barbels, yes. And orbs of contained water about her, including the one between her antlers. 

I hope to have a better readout on Derg!Zen when I get more of a final concept, but for now, this what I got!

This was a fun exercise! Bringing some of that soba-noodle-derg influence over into the predominantly-western-type dergs of the Spyroverse, my style! Honestly I forgot how much I enjoyed drawing dragons after this many years of smol horses. But I’ve missed it and I didn’t know I did. ;w;

Dragon!Zen is one of the Artisan Dragons, a specialist in aquascape and water features. One of her pastimes is to take a “watercolor” solution -water mixed with algae and moss spores- and paint walls with it. Her brush(es) are often her own tail! She’s also a spectacular swimmer, swift and agile as an eel. The algae patches over her scales and wings don’t seem to hamper her swimming. It’s... Not entirely certain what magic she’s using to keep her aqueous orbs contained and able to be handled like splashy snowballs.
