A Tragedy in Boracay

Tragedy struck in Boracay last September when a dragonboat carrying 21 paddlers capsized in the open seas. Seven of the 21-man crew of the Boracay Dragon Force perished, while the rest were picked up by rescue elements or were able to swim to shore. With the SEA Games forthcoming at that time, efforts to understand what happened and make appropriate corrective measures were set aside.

My Last Lazy Monday

My Last Lazy Monday

When it isn’t training season Mondays are not that bad of a day for me. In my work week Mondays are like most people’s Thursdays, so I’m close to my days off, I’m starting to wind down a bit, I don’t usually mind them. In fact, after work on Mondays I am down right lazy.  I may run some errands and then it is home to do laundry, watch Netflix, and at some point go to bed. Such an exciting life! 😉

I’m so exhausted from yesterday

Yesterday I participated in my very first Dragon Boating competition. I went to the  Toronto Womens Dragon Boating Festival in Brampton at Heart Lake.

I felt like I was going to die of heatstoke, it was awful!!! 

It was the hardest thing I have done in a long time!

But, I took a selfie for the first time in a long time, and it actually turned out good!!!
