McDonalds Dragon Booster Ferno & Sparkk 2006

Could we at some point discuss Dragon Booster's dragons' anatomy/biology? A part of me wants to steal the Pack-Class dragon (among others), but I also wonder how the Pack-Class could theoretically have fur.
Sorry and take your time on this ask!
EDIT: I DON'T KNOW HOW THIS ENDED UP SO FAR DOWN IN MY DRAFTS BUT I FOUND IT!!!!!!
Yeah, the dragons of Dragon Booster are interesting, it's been so long since I've sat thru it that I haven't given their physiology much thought but right off the bat I have 3 thoughts based on the assumption that they are more similar to real world Dinosauria (since some classes are obviously inspired by therapods) than other IRL reptiles (not counting avian dinosaurs right because I don't remember is they exist in this setting or if that niche is filled by pterosaur stand ins):
They need to be warm blooded and have full four-chambered hearts, because otherwise I don't see how that can have a base weight of 10 tons (!?)(i know the creators put them at 10 tons across the board but this screenshot emphasizes to me that they cannot all have the same weight) and also be so active, especially in the old ruins where there would be much less sunlight.
They are confirmed to lay eggs, but that is like 99% of all Archosauria as far as I know so that is a nothing data point.
The weight only makes sense to me if the draconium in their bones makes their skeletons incredibly heavy with correspondingly super dense muscles and connective tissues to hold their bodies together. Because:
Yutyrannus, which dimensionally are of similar size as Dragon Booster's theropodamorphs, is estimated to have only weighed 1100~1414kg, or 2,425-3,117 pounds. When converting units: 10 tons=9000kg, which is 19,842 pounds.....(┛◉Д◉)┛彡┻━┻
And no, I do not believe that there is any differential gravity/atmospheric pressure shenanigans going on because the human characters are all the weights I would expect of them for their ages, sexes, and varying levels of athleticism.
And as per your fur/protofeather question all the sources I found skimming web search results on soft tissue and heat retention w/out size factors were all therapeutic/medical resources, just rely on the relative size and climate to figure that out, I've got no new info.
The Green and Brown dragons have hooves, which trips me up a little on the idea that all the dragons are the same species because that is such a huge divergence from the rest of the dragons. But hey must be the same species because they can all interbreed, as proven by Connor back-breed traits to get Beau. But seriously, their hooves are so weird; the only example IRL I can think of are pigs (major omnivores/scavengers), Andrewsarchus mongoliensis, and Mesonychidae; who are all their own families. The facts that selective breeding can produce a hooved population that is the same species (subspecies?) is wild to me. But then, this is something I guess I shouldn't be concerned about in a fantasy setting.
I am not inclined to believe mag energy is unconcious or autonnamous in any way; the fact that dragons are able to just magnetize their gear and saddles and everyone is fine with just makes me assume that some kind of mental training is involved.
Well, that is all I have for now, I hope it helps and that you're having a great day!
Okay so I was working on a longer answer to your ask about Dragon Booster dragon physiology and I think the site ate my draft, but I think as to whether Pack Class dragons could have fur/proto feathers as long as they don't put the animal at risk of overheating; which I do not know who to calculate given that dragons in Dragon Booster are described as unrealistically heavy for their dimensions (4th paragraph down) which I can only speculate is from the draconium incorporated into their skeletions and the corresponding density of their muscles and connective tissues to keep those metal bones from ripping their bodies apart.
So without researching to get speculation fuel, I see no reason for them to lack feathers as long as they aren't counterproductive to the dragons' health.
Dang, sorry about that.
That is fascinating (and I respect the dragons of Dragon Booster a lot more now for checking in at a whole ten tons when fully grown), but regarding the Pack-Class one more time, given their purely wolf-ish appearance and pack-like thought processes, it would actually now make sense to me if they were from the northern reaches of the planet. Thus fur/proto feather would make a great deal of sense in order to keep them warm in extreme temperatures.
Thanks! This helps me a lot!
The first redesign is a real freak of an animal the humble Hydrag
What are you changing for the reboot project?
A LOT but also I’m trying to maintain the vibes of the original. Obviously redesigning both characters and dragons alike. Streamlining some of the lore and hopefully getting to some Academy stuff. I also want to explore some parts outside of Dragon City as many forget it’s a single part of the world Draconis.
Anyone have any Dragon Booster questions?
